We chose the Spillover Motel because it was the halfway point on our two-day trip as we crossed from Coburn-Gore to Calais, Maine. We prefer this shortcut rather than the longer Canadian route to the Canadian Maritime provinces. We enjoy the scenery and a more relaxed journey, although many Canadians avoid this Maine shortcut. Good motels and restaurants are hard to find and this discourages travelers. However, we have now discovered one more good one and there are probably more hidden in those trees. Finding a restaurant open on July 4th was not easy but were glad we found one - the White Wolf, and were pleased wiht your choices.
