They had a really elaborate animated halloween display on the front lawn that we enjoyed. It was just one example of their attention to detail to make our stay memorable.

Tenants Harbor is a small, quaint. little village on the Atlantic coast of Maine. We shopped in the Port Clyde General Store and ate at the Dip-Net restaurant and got coffee and other things in the Drift Net. A nice place to visit, but watch out for the various hotels in the village - they are very old and very expensive without many of the amenities you would expect at their price point, i.e. no elevators to third floor rooms, no air conditioning for the warm afternoons and evenings, and some rooms don't even have cross ventilation.

    Tenants Harbor is beautiful!

Tenants Harbor is beautiful! We did travel during Columbus Day weekend, so many places were shutting down or were closed. We traveled about 30 minutes for dinner. The up-side of traveling during this period is that it is definitely less crowded and you can find privacy in many hiking spots along the coast. The weather was amazing during the week, so a great time to go!

Tenants Harbor is at the tip of the St George peninsula and has all the beauty of the Maine Cost without all the tourists. Historic East Wind Inn, nearby Marshall Point Light and musuem, Port Clyde General Store and shops, ferry to Monhegan Island. A weekend is just enough time to do it all. Relaxing atmosphere and stunning views.

So beautiful it is hard to describe.

So beautiful it is hard to describe. Had everything you need in Port Clyde - a great general store, restaurant, ice cream shop/bakery, ferry, coffee shop and even gift shop at the ferry. Just enough to nestle in and enjoy the stay. Morning coffee and walks were the best!

We were only there overnight, and also considerably after the "high season" summer months, so did not have a chance to experience the full range of what the town has to offer, but we found it enticing enough to consider a return visit at another time.
