While I was disappointed in the room and proximity to Big Bend, I very much liked the cafe—good, home cooked food and friendly staff. I met the office staff the day after we checked in and they were very nice as well.
Never having been to this area, resort was misleading to me, rustic cabin might be better. Given this is a dark sky area, there needs to be some signage or a couple of lights to direct us to the cabins in the pitch black at 6:30 PM in the winter months after the office closes at 5.

We stayed here to explore Big Bend because the Park was full. While it was over an hour drive to the park, there was little traffic and the scenery was pleasant. It has a restaurant and a pool, both of which is a plus

Be sure to read the entire web page!
Be sure to read the entire web page! Especially that the road into the property is unpaved!
3 miles of very rough caliche road!
Very rustic accommodations but okay if you know what to expect!
Very good restaurant on property.

Stopping to see the ghost town is worth the stop.
Stopping to see the ghost town is worth the stop. Terlingua is the closest town to both Big Ben National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park, making it a good jumping off spot to see both parks. There's not a lot to see or do in Terlingua other than seeing the ghost town.

Everything was great, since I'm the kind of person that loves nature. I didn't mind anything at all. They have an awesome swimming pool also. That worked out just fine after a great hike. The only thing I didn't like was that there wasn't any gas stations close by. But for everything else it was great and I had lots of fun.

The room was a bit tired.
The room was a bit tired. There was not enough light to read. The room had no desk and only 1 chair. It was a SLUG to get the luggage to the room. Children at the pool were screaming and running around.
I recommend the General Store for lunch takeout. The golf course was incredible!!!
The hotel is simply lovely. It is beautifully landscaped and the contrast with the stunning desert IV landscape is absolutely gorgeous. The buildings are lovely, the beds are comfortable, the pool a wonderful asset in the hot weather. The food in the restaurant was very good, so was the prickly pear margarita. The bakery/pizzeria/coffee shop is a very nice feature of the resort. We didn’t golf but it sure looked fantastic.
We had a great time chatting with staff about history of Terlingua and the Ranch Lodge. Fine little restaurant for dinner; terrific biscuits n gravy at breakfast the next morning! I also really appreciated learning the Terlingua Ranch Lodge has partnered with Big Bend and the Dark Sky program and keeps lighting to a minimum at night. In June I actually saw the Milky Way right outside me cabin. Pretty darn cool.
This is the most charming camping place I've been to in recent years, but of course, you have to understand where you're going. High-class camping, not a hotel! Perfect views, great animals, great hot showers. Best fire pit, a comfortable kitchen, and greatest adventure. Thank you so much!
Room was very comfortable and had a nice outlook. The resort was very clean and well maintained. Nightly entertainment at the Thirsty Goat. Food in both the bar and restaurant was enjoyable and portions were huge. Complimentary coffee available in the hotel in the morning.
Located in a very remote part of Texas but convenient for Big Bend National Park. The hotel has a number of amenities including golf course, pool, spa and restaurant/bar/cafe options. Rooms were excellent, big bathroom, clean, comfy bed.
A pleasant resort, great golf course and nice place to relax. A little distance from the national park. Staff was great with Wifi being located only in hotel reception area, however our room was near the reception, so it worked great.
It’s an adorable casita just a short walk to Ghost Town and the Starlight. Loved the comfortable bed, big shower, and fire pit. And Terlingua is a perfect spot to explore the state and national Big Bend Parks.
As soon as I arrived someone came out to meet me. The owner is fantastic and the staff is very friendly. The people living nearby that can to the ranch for dinner or camaraderie really added to the experience.
The guy at the desk was very helpful. Gave us info on Big Bend Parks. Very friendly as well. Cute cabins. A little bit off the road. 16 miles but it was fun!!
