Granted, we came in the off season, so we knew we weren’t...
Granted, we came in the off season, so we knew we weren’t going to get the full experience and we’d like to come back at some point. The bakery across the street had coffee and great pastries. The General Store is beautiful! The family who first owned it bought it back in 2021 and they’ve done an incredible job making it stocked with things you might need for your travels and lots of cute things to bring back as souvenirs.

Tomales is very quiet.
Tomales is very quiet. There's not much to do there because it has only two hotel/inns, a small but well-stocked store, two cafes, and a restaurant that appears to be open primarily for dinner. This is not a place for people who want a lot of action. It was ideal for us to just get away to a quiet place. Dillon Beach, Bodega Bay, and Pt. Reyes station are scenic drives during the day, but I would advise against drinking too much before driving the winding roads back to Tomales.AlexisUnited States

The breakfast items and coffee were excellent. We purchased bread and other things to take home. This bakery is well worth the stop if you are just passing through Tomales. We ate dinner at the William Tell House Saloon. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. They have a great outdoor setup for eating.
