My stay was great.I would highly recommend this destination to everyone that wants a comfortable, affordable and friendly spot to go. The things I appreciated most was no extra fee for pets,a great variety for breakfast and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Upward is a great friendly town .
Upward is a great friendly town . It is near tons of shopping, restaurants, aquarium, and zoo, which were all just beautiful to visit and eat at. We especially loved the little town and the lodge on McMurray Road was beautiful and I had so much to offer there also. The lodge that we stayed at was very close to Pretty Place, Chapel in Cleveland South Carolina, which was breathtaking. We recommend anyone to go to upward North Carolina.

Everything!!!!!! The staff were friendly and attentive. The environment and grounds were beautiful. The hotel was rustic and cozy. The hotel in entirety was spotlessly clean. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Having the kitchenette was handy and saved us quite a bit on our budget to cook and eat in our room. The heated pool was amazing and relaxing. My son has autism and he was ecstatic over swimming in the dark with just the light of the pool. I will definitely stay here again and again when traveling through.

I had high expectations...and they were met! Super clean. Our studio room had an entire kitchen in it! Beds were super comfy and we didn't hear a sound all night. We slept like logs. If you're traveling Interstate 26, the hotel is just one minute (or less) from 26 with a Waffle House and ABC store next door. If you stay here, don't miss Jump Off Rock...a lovely place to watch the sunset and relax after your drive.

This hotel was easy to find and has a lot of character both outside and in the lobby area. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The trail out back is small but a chance to stretch our legs and the waterfall is really nice. Breakfast was what we were used to Pre Covid with a bit of extra sanitary steps, like eggs in individual baggies and sausages wrapped.

What a gem! The nicest and cheapest hotel on our road trip through five states. Cozy and clean. It has everything you need including a great atmosphere. The extremely welcoming staff went above and beyond to provide us with everything we needed. Great location to explore the outdoors. Just loved it here!

We have stayed here mnay times over the last few years. We feel in love with the setting of the hotel, mountains, has gardaen waterfall, log cabin feel in the main entry way. Staff are all wonderfull and accomidating all your needs. We like our privacy and we get that here.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The large fridge was a welcome quality when used to small or no fridges in other hotels. So many day trips available from chimney rock/lake lure to gorges state park, pisgah, and DuPont forest as just a few.

Presentation is everything! Beautiful lodging style, very nice room, very attractive setting. Staff was warm and welcoming! Nice breakfast area. Easy access from highway, but far enough off the road that you did not hear traffic.

Fabulous stay!! Most hotels are not clean enough for me but this one felt like home. Great friendly staff snd we were able to travel with our dog. They even pulled off a hot breakfast during covid.
