The Police came when I was robbed. The Location was in a bad area. I was jumped Saturday night walking back from the Wedding at the Black Hawk Hotel.
It looks nice enough and people were out, and the police came, but still, you should have warnings. It was so close you would not call an uber but two punks ran up behind my husband and me and grabbed my purse.
Being from Chicago, we ran after them. They got into a car and drove off.
This was in Davenport Iowa at midnight. The policeman who took the report was Officer Marks. They did notify the hotel and we had new hotel cards for our room. We did tell them where the phone was thru tracking.
They got my phone, cash, $37.00, I.D., and the purse that was beaded and was my grandma's that my mom gave me.
The next day, we found the phone on our own thru a tracking device my daughter has on my phone.
There was nothing that I liked
The room was dirty smelled of heavy smoking only half a roll of toilet paper carpet was sticky to walk on curtain were ripped up couldn't close. It looked like this room hasn't been used in weeks bed was extremely uncomfortable springs poking me in my back Went to check out front counter clerk didn't bother to ask how the stay was or wish me well travels or anything

The booking photos are not of the room you get.
The booking photos are not of the room you get. Don't waste your time booking a room with a hot tub you won't get it. There's no breakfast and the pool doesn't have water in it. You won't get extra blankets if you ask and the bathrooms smell like mildew.

There was only 1 thing I liked.
There was only 1 thing I liked. The fact that I was able to see the Iowa 80 truck stop. My experience at the hotel was a complete disaster. Lied to then my debit card was charged more than was supposed to.

The price was right for the conditions at the property.
The price was right for the conditions at the property. The outside door remained unlocked all night allowing for anyone to have access. Very convenient for the prostitutes and their pimp that we saw in the brief time we were there. The property allowed pets, which is why we picked this place, but there was no outside trash container to put doggie doo bags in when cleaning up after your dog. This is an OK place for a quick stop to rest and get back on the road, but not really for an extended stay. Good value for the price we got online.
