I forgot to add that the hotel give you ear plugs for the noise of the trains going by at night. and the parking was outside on the street and It was not in the best section of town. I was nerves that my car would be damaged or broken into as there was also no security cameras.

Check in service good. Friendly and ready to assist. Older Facility but comfortable bed and hot shower. Good value.
Sleepy town close to Canyonlands - served well for tired travelers.
Not too many dining choices in Walsenburg, but Dinner at BBQ spot across street- good ribs and coleslaw

charming small town but with many amenities.
charming small town but with many amenities. Unfortunately, we arrived later than expected and didn't have time to enjoy the quaint shops and venues but we are planning another trip just to go check it all out! Very easy to get around in. Has a small town feel and is kept and clean. The few people we came in contact with were very nice and all genuine Coloradans, not transplanted Texans or Okies! The LaPlaza Inn was FANTASTIC!
