I liked Moody Street, which was a short walk from our hotel -- there are so many restaurants to choose from. We had breakfast twice at Heidi's Diner, which was a very friendly place with great service. We also had dinner one night at Sakura Japanese Restaurant and the food was very good and the service was also very friendly.
We went into Boston twice via the Commuter Rail station and this was very convenient -- just be sure to check the schedule before heading out. There is parking available at the station for $6/day. Once the train comes, it only takes 22 minutes to get to North Station in Boston.
The one thing I wanted to do but didn't get to -- walking along the Charles River Trail -- the weather just did not cooperate on the day we could have done it.

There is a historical Watch Factory with a museum. The factor has been converted to an apartment. There is a Charles River trail near the hotel. Plenty parking around the trail. The downtown Moody Street has many restaurants and shops, stores.

Getting around Waltham is a nightmare, and the staff is no help and there is no printed help. If you are not computer savvy (and we are not) you are out of luck and the staff won't much help. So we couldn't find an outside restaurant and there is little in that way in this facility--drinks and snacks, yes,

I was here for two nights to see a medical specialist. This was a one-mile drive to my specialist, so that was good. The employees were professional and helpful. Everything, including the key-cards for security access to rooms and elevator, made you feel that this was a very secure location. Ample parking, good breakfast.

A playground...not a luxury hotel ..extreme noise levels from 25 kids playing soccer inside the common lobby space that is open to all floors. I wish I can below one star review. Will never stay in this hotel again.

Waltham is a bit away from Boston, so if the goal is to see Boston, I'd find places closer to the city, but if Waltham is the target, as was our case, this is a great hotel. It's quiet. The area is well kept.. It's close to major highways that can go in every direction.
This was a typical, dependable Holiday Inn. The rooms were spacious, clean, had good towels, comfortable mattresses, and good air conditioning. It was exactly what we expected and wanted.
One plus was that we arrived at the hotel with quite a bit of dirty laundry. There was a small laundry room on our floor. We were able to do two loads in the early morning and were very grateful for this amenity.
I needed a last minute booking late at night and when I got to the hotel the staff was ready to go. So easy and convenient, it took all of 10 minutes to check in, park and get to the room. And to top that off, the room was so clean and the a/c was on and they had direct TV with tons of good choices for me to wind down. I’d recommend this place.
The suite I had booked was larger than expected with all the necessary amenities and I stayed for two weeks. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. Due to the pandemic, the breakfast was a take away with very limited options, otherwise the staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my stay.
Very nice, cut-above generic hotel. The attached pub was fun, though the outdoor deck view is over the parking lot. Food and drinks were great. Room was very large, well-appointed with microwave and fridge, quiet and the bed was comfortable. Included breakfasts were plentiful, but just OK quality.
It was an excellent experience. The Hotel has its own parking and is close to great restaurants and markets. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The accommodation is very spacious and comfortable. There is nothing to complain about, as everything was very good. I highly recommend the stay.
I had an excellent experience at the Hampton Inn & Suites Boston/Waltham. I was very pleased with the facilities, which included convenient parking, impeccable cleanliness, a comfortable room, and a complimentary breakfast. Additionally, the staff were exceptionally polite and accommodating.
The room was very close to Boston, but away from the Boston traffic. The hotel was nice, looked nice, and their breakfast was amazing. Fitness center was clean and well kept. The room was massive compared to other hotel rooms, and there was a late night bar and kitchen in the lobby.
Very quiet, clean and friendly staff. The hotel is also close to a mall, making it possible to walk around for restaurant options. The location is also refreshing for those who love a quiet and well kept neighborhood.
Everything. We were surprised that the city has a great vibe and some options for leisure. The hotel is great and person at front desk was very friendly and helpfull.
