Very comfortable accommodation in good location. Walmart right next door but not too close. Plenty of eating options nearby (walkable). Breakfast was excellent. We were impressed. Ideal for our overnight stay.

Good rooms, good breakfast and excellent location.
It was clean and location was good.
The man who checked us in. We apparently was bothering him since we asked to check in 40 min early. If it was an issue to check in early, he should have just told us to have a seat until 3pm instead of being rude about it.

Did not eat breakfast.
Did not eat breakfast. Room accommodations were not up to expectations. Requested a room in the main bldg. on the first floor. Sent to the Bird bldg. Very difficult time finding the bldg.,let alone trying to find the room. Staff helped us with the luggage to the room.. Parking sucks. Had to park a long way away from the bldg. The room was very tiny and was supposed to have a refrigerator. The staff brought one to us. Very long walk to exit the building. There are no light signs around the property to identify where you are on the property at night The bathroom was ridiculous. You had to step around the , commode to shut the door. It was a balancing act for sure. The only bright side of our trip was your staff. They were very friendly and accommodating

We didn’t see or experience much of Wheeling beyond the resort. We did like that it is just over an hour away from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania where we were headed for a concert and it was not a big, busy city.

We didn't have a plan of where we were going, we just wung it. Luckily the hotel gave us pamphlets and directions. We were shocked to here there was horseback riding available, golf, shopping, glass blowing and outside eateries.

Our room booking from Booking, com did not show up on their computers. However, Wheeling went ahead and booked us a room for the night and even at a better rate that what we got from Booking.com. Professional staff really made the difference in our stay beside the outstanding room we spent the night in. Wheeling is only 3.5 hours from our house but now days I stop driving after 9 hours.

Loved the area but stay away from this hotel chain (Super 8). The management only takes in rent and provides few if any of the services and what few they have you have to ask for. There are plenty of nice places to eat within a few miles.
Location was scenic, great facilities and the hotel is beautiful. So much to explore and none of it is extra except the spa and I’d imagine golf. Pool, library, gardens, botanical area, ZOO, all included and without “resort fees” most places charge. The area is hard to navigate (narrow, windy mountain road- I would not arrive or depart at night). Worth it for the views. Room was very nice, enjoyed the balcony. Hotel itself is huge and well appointed, if a bit outdated. Excellent price for a resort such as this.
Everyone is very friendly at check_in and check out had a great time this place is very comfortable however we do take pics before and after just incase they would say something happened or something got broke we can pull our pics back up and be like no that isn't right but we stay there everytime we go to wheeling very nice and affordable
A rather unique suite design that made the most of the space available.
Whomever prepares the breakfast should go on the road teaching other hotel cooks how to prepare scrabbled eggs! the best I've ever had in any hotel - and in most restaurants.
The hotel was quiet. The lobby of the hotel was very attractive and had great artwork. The staff was friendly. I liked the historic hotel feel. Could have done better in a few areas carrying that forward. Some of the furnishings were worn.
Breakfast was a surprise with waffles! Even at hotels charging half as much more, no hot food had been offered.
Having the number to the local Dominos on the key card was a plus as well especially since it had recently been storming
The lobby has a cool chandelier. The hotel has lots of history - it was supposedly the "finest hotel west of the Appalachians" when it was built in the 1850s, but alas, that is certainly no longer the case.
