Breakfast was excellent. Our hosts Charlie and Meagan were very personable and very helpful with suggestions. The main lodge had the feel of a quintessential New England lodge. Fireplace going and comfy seats made for a nice place to rest after a long days drive.

Wilmington is a great location, just a few miles away from Mount Snow. The town is lovely with many souvenir shops, convenience stores, restaurants and bars. There is surprsingly a lot to do given its small size.

Beautiful little town - just the right, manageable size!
Beautiful little town - just the right, manageable size! On a Tuesday and Wednesday late September some shops closed - a bit disappointing. But the shops that were open are great! A variety of lovely Inns from which to choose. Some restaurants only open 4 days a week or so. Great stop on the way to Maine.

Wilmington was the ideal little Vermont town for an early October trip. The sights were amazing. The food in and around town was excellent. There was so much to do in the area, we couldn't fit everything into just a weekend trip.
We at at the Alpenglow on a Friday night (get reservations!), and it was fantastic. For Saturday we ate at Jezebel's Eatery and again had a great meal (again get reservations, dinner fills up in town).
The days were spent at the Hogback Mountain overlook, wandering the Brattleboro Flea Market and meandering through the shops in town. Just a fantastic area for an Autumn trip.

Such a cute town! Everything was within walking distance.
Such a cute town! Everything was within walking distance. There are many local shops and delicious places to eat. We enjoyed a hike nearby. We were there during the off season so not everything was open. A very nice place to recharge. I wouldn’t necessarily stay longer than a day or two.

Quaint town.
Quaint town. It is very small and a lot of places close at 4. I'd make a stop there, but probably stay overnight in a larger town if you're just visiting the area. If you're skiing, the town might may be a little more affordable than some of the resorts.
Beautiful Inn, well-located and charming. The welcome area, bar, common lounge and dining room were perfect and then some. We were warmly greeted and given a brief tour. The facilities are immaculate and cozy. Only very minor comment is that the room wasn’t overwhelming. But it was very clean and WAY more than adequate. But the overall charm of the Inn and warmth of the environment more than made for this tiny thing.
The breakfast was phenomenal! We’ll be back for another stay for sure!
Great place to stay in the heart of Wilmington!! The staff were very helpful and had wonderful suggestions for where to eat and explore. The room was spacious and although it was near the entrance, it was very quiet, especially at night time. The courtyard out back is an added bonus area to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. Would definitely stay again! Thanks to James and all the staff!!
Great location on east-west route through Wilmington, easy to find. I liked the staff I met, the ease & pleasantness of checking in & out, the comfort of my bed, the bathroom facilities, the bar fridge (& microwave) & the functioning coffee-maker. WiFi was OK, too! With a disabled leg, I was also glad to be on the ground floor.
The hotel sits back from the road (= less road noise), with woodsy woods right behind the rooms. Parking was excellent, and as a practical matter, the presence of a deli across the road made my meal choice for me, thanks to time of day and my energy level when I got there.
Wonderful period building with original features, staff were lovely and very welcoming, room was clean and tidy with a great bathroom. A 20 minute walk into Wilmington with its great bars and restaurants but as the road is unlit I wouldn't recommend walking at night.
Private and quiet location just minutes from the center of town in Wilmington. It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a long weekend away. Perfect for our family including teenagers and grandparents.
Great location! The hotel is in a beautiful historical house and their staff is very friendly. There are a couple of good restaurants within 1-2 minutes walking. Really recommended in you are in the area.
Breakfast was good for a continental breakfast
The dinner there was the very best I’ve had in a very long time. I would have like to have stayed an xtra night just to dine there again
The hotel was perfect. It was a pity that we only stayed for one night. The owner is a very good host and the breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Beautifully restored hotel to a hight standard. Very comfortable in excellent location with free parking close by. Very helpful staff. Close to restaurants and bars.
the location to MtSnow and that it was to be pet friendly. It looked adorable online and it would be perfect if they didn’t have a carpenter ant problem..
