I have for many years used the Hampton brand thinking the premium in price was worth it , twice now I have been left disappointed and out of pocket , I don't know if the whole brand is having issues or I have just been unlucky.
The overall hotel is nice .

The bed was comfortable with good pillows. It was outside the city. The staff was nice to check in.

Hotel is only about 45 minutes from Red River Gorge which was our destination. Plenty of food options at this exit. Front desk person was very nice, room was clean and smelled surprisingly good for a pet friendly room. There was a little strip of grass next to the outdoor smoking shelter for our pup to do his business. Breakfast had a lot of options and the coffee was good.
What I liked best about the hotel was that it wasn’t too crowded yet still was a quality stay. We did have one issue with our fridge leaking and the staff at the time gave us options and helped us navigate whether or not we wanted a new room or a towel to put under the fridge as it was just condensation. I would definitely stay again if I go back to the area!
We got to the hotel an hour early and asked if they could check us in. The lady at the desk checked us right in. We were super excited with how clean this facility was. Very nice staff and a very well kept hotel. We will be staying here when we visit again.

The overall hotel is nice .
The hotel was very dated and needed to be updated
The room was clean enough- but not as clean as I expected. For example when checking for bed bugs, we saw old food under the chair cushion
There was additional garbage / remains in other areas
The location right off the highway was very convenient. The owner/staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was VERY spacious and comfortable. It was more like a suite than just a hotel room.
Room was fine but desk chair was extremely stained. Water was hot quickly in the shower. Obviously hotel is undergoing some needed upgrades which is a good thing. Pleasant exterior.
During my trip I only stayed at Hampton Inn. Winchester location was the best hotel on my trip. The staff was wonderful and the property was in excellent condition.
