Long Bay Beach Resort, hotel in Road Town

Situated in West End Tortola, Long Bay Beach Resort features a restaurant. Among the various facilities of this property are a bar and a garden. All rooms include a balcony.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our island vacation. I booked a beachfront walkout room and it was incredible. The views are stupendous, and the resort was clean and grounds kempt. We loved the large private patio, easy access to the beach, and close proximity to the bar/restaurant. The pool is across the street hillside, but was still easy to find and the bartender was friendly. Staff was helpful and polite. I recommend taking advantage of morning yoga if it’s available on a morning you are there. We had very windy days so the waves were large, and couldn’t swim or kayak. However we did stroll down to the far east end of the beach and could walk out fairly far into the waves because there were no rocks at that end of the beach. The water is shallow, so boogie-boarding was great. Food at the restaurant is yummy, we especially loved the chicken wings and the blueberry pancakes! Overall a perfectly relaxing stay at this little gem of a resort.

The New View Inn, hotel in Road Town

The New View Inn is offering accommodation in Tortola Island. The inn also offers free WiFi and free private parking.

I just needed a clean comfortable bed and WiFi, plus a decent shower / toilet facility. In this sense this place ticks the boxes . I like walking for exercise and to get to see and know places better, so I didn’t mind walking into the town center each day. It took me no more than 15 minutes slow walking. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

I loved being on Aqua Panda for 3 night stay on board Peter and Kata’s catamaran. The hosts were kind, friendly and hospitable, doing all they could to make my stay comfortable. At the time of my stay, they wanted to move the boat so we did some sailing and sightseeing which was very enjoyable. I understand that sailing isn’t usually part of the offer, but maybe other guests will be lucky. Even being on board, without sailing, is much more enjoyable than staying in a hotel.

The beach photos are misleading. Even though part of the hotel is on the beach, you cannot enter the beach because it’s all rocks. Also, the waves are so loud outside the junior suites on the water - like ridiculously loud. so loud that you can’t hear the roosters crowing at 5am like our friend’s rooms that were not located on the beach. The staff is incredibly gracious and happy. The kitchen is slow - count in waiting at least 30-45 minutes for your meal to come out.

Our host, Lucian, was incredibly helpful and informative about the island. He thoughtfully pointed out city landmarks in Road Town that we needed to visit, helped us get into the rental, and even checked in on us during our stay. Though the apartment was small, it was functional and well-equipped with a full kitchen, plenty of outlets, and a work desk. The WiFi was strong, the water was hot, and everything was clean and fresh. "Thank you, Lucian!"

Stayed in a cliffside suite -- the Rose Villa. Spacious room, great bathroom with wonderful towels, fantastic view of the bay and soothing sounds of waves at night. The beach was seriously eroded by hurricanes Irma and Maria so there is no beach access at the hotel but it is a short drive to two of Tortola's best beaches -- Smuggler's Cove and Cane Garden Bay. Also loved the Sebastian Rum made at the Hotel.

We spent three nights at Sebastian's with family and friends. The hotel is in a good location with the beach just outside the restaurant. The service was excellent. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. If you eat in the restaurant you should make sure to have plenty of time as the food takes a while to come. But it is good food and served with a smile.

The location was great, the staff excellent, and the oceanfront room was freshly decorated and lovely. We enjoyed our stay and felt fortunate that we selected Sebastian’s. The surf was rough while we were there so we didn’t swim in the water at the hotel, but we did enjoy watching the surfers surf the waves in front of our room.

I loved the fact that it was a historical hotel. It was walking distance from downtown and pubs in eateries. There’s a grocery store right around the corner if you need to stock up with anything.
