Vinh Long is a great city for tourists, as you experience local life easily. There are nearly no other tourists around, we only saw one other group on our 2 day trip. The city has great places to eat and is easy to discover by bike. The Bus station can be reached via West Bank Station in Ho Chi Minh. We were very grateful that the home stay Mekong Pottery offered organized trips and also the options to have dinner at the home stay. There was a lot of information provided on the website. The host was always present and open for answering our questions. We recommend the trips we booked via the home stay a lot! We had a great stay. The room and the outdoor bathroom are beautifully made and fit the surroundings so well. It's a little oasis for travellers.LisaGermany - 8.0Scored 8.0

It is a lovely place to stay for one night or two during a Mekong delta trip as there is not so much to do there. If you enjoy long walk, cycling, fishing and good food, then it is definitely worth stopping in Vinh Long on the way to Can Tho. People are really friendly and it is very relaxing there.

They were more than willing to help get you where you need to go. The attached cafe serves wonderful cakes and refreshing drinks. Each guest get two complimemtary drinks and cakes. The rooftop bar opens at 430pm, and the centre piece is a replica Eiffel Tower. They serve all types of alcohol as well as drinks and cakes from the downstairs Cafe. Bonus, the whole hotel smells amazing.

The owner runs his own boat trip for 500k/p, bringing you on his boat to visit a pottery factory, a rice paper factory, a bee's farm, and a private orchard for fruits, and also includes lunch. Both meals we had were delicious, home-cooked food. We had transport arranged through the owner too.

Watch sun set into the Mekong. This place is not fancy, but it is wonderful. It has a chill vibe, beautiful grounds, and a great staff. The small extra effort to get there is so worth it. The staff coordinated our onward travel - a huge help (thanks Van!).
