The location made it close to local restaurants. It was quiet, right on the water with great views. It felt like being in Vanuatu with the locals fishing, kids swimming and people laying right out front of our balcony. It was extremely clean. The wifi was very good.

Our trip was a bit of a roller coaster , but overall we enjoyed our time there . Highlights , 83 islands distillery tour was awesome . Mele beach bar great food , awesome staff and location and the fire show on Friday nights fantastic . Kids can swim at the beach , have a feed and watch the shoe -A+ . The markets were awesome as usual . Low lights . We’ve been going to Vanuatu for over 20 yrs , and our recent trip to the cascades saddened us and emptied our wallets . The current owners havnt maintained the place and the entry fee is extortion . The roads are next level knarly All 3 of our airport transfers were no shows which was disappointing but not the end of the world . The people of Vanuatu are why we come back every time . They really are the friendliest people on earth . Special shout out to Gideon and his family from Havanah eco lodge . They treated us like family and we had a great time over there .

Port Villa is heaven on earth, I have been there 3 times and will always go back, with all the natural disasters this island goes through people are still so friendly and happy all the time, they live a simple life and always have a reason to smile, i strongly advise visiting the locals as it much better than staying in the resorts, the rivers , lagoons and beachs are surreal and its all so clean, the locals will always say hello and help you with anything you need. There are plenty of taxis to go around, I would stay away from resorts for food and go into town as the resorts are extremely expensive and the town prices are so much cheaper.

Fresh food and souvenir markets were very well maintained.

Fresh food and souvenir markets were very well maintained. Indeed the waterfront esplanade area was attractive apart from the toilets behind the stage set up for MAC festival which had a $1.00 AU entry fee. Our trip on the coral viewing boat was worthwhile. The Museum was a great disappointment especially given the high entry fee and the seeming lack of curatorial care in presenting historical perspectives such as WW2 events and impacts of colonisation.

The local people were great: friendly, helpful and polite.

The local people were great: friendly, helpful and polite. There were good restaurants, particularly the Waterfront Bar and Grill. It was easy to get a taxi or bus on the street, but asking the hotel to get you a taxi may result in a long wait for their preferred driver to arrive. We heard several stories from disappointed people who booked resorts where there was nothing to do and had ferry charges to get back to the mainland.

Exceptional place if you wish to get into the local lifestyle and explore the culture. There are nice places to visit like Mele Beach bar for Fire Dance, Blue Lagoon and Iririki Island for Snorkeling, Kayaking, swimming, casino and a lot more to offer that too at very affordable rates.

The accommodation is very easy to approach and can move all over Port Vila very easily. The owner of Dwellery and her family is amazing and they let you feel at home. It was fabulous experience staying at Janessa's Dwellery. The place is not a luxury place but hospitality and support for all the things is exceptional. The staff guides very nicely to arrange tours on your own. Highly recommended place to stay. Last but not least the breakfast is also satisfying.

Loved the hot showers (consistent hot not up and down in temperature). Clean room. The only thing I would change is the bed. It is solid, didn't stop me sleeping in it but had foam/spring beds everywhere else. Easy walk in to port villa centre (5 mins max). Easy taxi/bus ride to the airport and shop underneath hotel if needed. And AC was a great addition when it was 95% humidity. We didn't get AC anywhere else we stayed.

Chris is very welcoming - he goes above and beyond to accommodate your requirements and is always available. The unit matched the description - clean and practical 2 bedroom, near the lagoon with a pool for the family. The outdoors facilities (bbq, comfortable chairs and day beds) were a great bonus. It is also a 3 min ride to the Erakor Island, which was one of our favorite spots (for half-day trips).

every aspect was just great - snorkelling, excursions (Blue Cave, Yakel custom village, giant banyan tree), staff, food, grounds, view, rooms - really top resort. we’d stayed at the ‘Volcanic Hideway Tree House’ at Mt Yasur to see the volcano and the luxury of the resort was a perfect complement to the tree house in a traditional Vanuatu village in sight of the volcano. recommend the combination.

The staff and location of this place was very good. I spent there a good working week ( I traveled for the UN mission) in uneasy post- Covid times. The place is safe and relatively quiet even though it is located near the main road. It has full kitchen and laundry/ dryer plus a very big patio. The owner dropped me off to the airport free of charge which was very nice and unexpected. Thank you!

This is a great Hotel. Situated really close to the ocean, you can very easily watch the sunset while drinking a Tusker Beer or a Mocktail from the onsite bar. The restaurant is also reasonable. Good times overall. Thank you to the staff at the Moorings from making my experience what it was. Everything you will need is close by. Restaurants and the centre of Port Vila. Great spot.

Clean comfortable rooms with good beds and showers. A nice pool area. We stayed here just for a night before flying to Santo and it was very close and convenient to the airport with some nice bars and restaurants walking distance to the hotel. There is also a small shopping centre with a bakery and Cafe that was convenient. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Wonderful resort! The food is absolutely world class and the best we had during our time in Vanuatu at various other resorts. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were spacious and clean. Location is also within close proximity to town. Would definitely recommend if staying at Port Vila.

The Location is nice. People and Staff are very friendly. According to Google Map it is a 5 star hotel. That's not true. It's a 3 start hotel, no gym, no aircon, no TV, no internet in the bungalow, and the food was standard.
