Rooms were comfortable and next to each other, ideal as we were traveling as a family.
The water was cold in our room. However, they made arrangements for us to have a hot shower.
Access control was to our liking.

Still remains the best place to stay at in Ermelo. Beautiful big rooms with serving the best breakfast in the morning. To wake up with that beautiful view of the valley. Is breathtaking. I'm always sad to leave there.

The staff were so friendly and really keen to make sure that we were happy. The room had everything that we needed and we had a view over the lovely gardens. The view from my sons and mother in laws rooms were not so good but we checked in after dark and left early in the morning so the view was not important.
The location is close to the high street although too far to walk especially after dark.
Breakfast was available for an extra price but we did not have breakfast. The price of breakfast seemed a little high (150 rand per person) but it may have been good value for money but I can't say for sure as we did not eat it. We went to the local Wimpy instead.
I would stay here again

It is a quiet little town. We didn’t get to see much as we were there for a family Christmas celebration and almost everything was closed. I didn’t see any attractions that stood out for me, so I wouldn’t know what to recommend to a fellow traveller

I wouldn’t elect to visit again. We only went there for a wedding (stunning wedding venue just outside the town) but Ermelo itself is not the best kept and the trucks drive right past all the accommodation (most accommodations are in a specific road and this seems to be the main truck route, making it super difficult to sleep).

Ermelo is an OK place to stop if you are travelling from the east coast on route to J'burg or up to the Kruger area. It is a very busy town, with quite a lot of heavy traffic. There is a fairly large supermarket if you need to stock up on provisions.

We stayed in the middle of Ermelo & Chrissiesmeer which was the intension as staying in town isn't always the best option to get away from
the hustle and bustle.
We mainly visited Chrissiesmeer and the lakes surrounding it( the ones
that was accessible and not on private property mostly are on private property not accessible or 4x4 needed if you do not stay on the farm. We didn't know this so if birdwatching is what you came for try to arrange with locals to assist taking you to special lakes .The area is very scenic and driving towards Lesotho is worthwhile.
The host was incredible helpful and friendly. About the place itself - you have an incredible feeling of being in the middle of the real farm with the beautiful landscape while enjoying the comfort that in no way worse than in the very decent big city hotel (even better - you have your own place for the bbq, although we didn't have a chance to use it because of the heavy rain). Definitely recommended.
Absolutely wonderful experience. Hennie and Zonica made me feel so welcome and really go the extra mile for their guests. The room was stunning and very clean, equipped with a heater, electric blanket and extra blankets. The dinner and breakfast provided were definitely value for money. I would go back and stay any time again!
Stayed in a lot of guesthouses in Ermelo and can honestly say, this is the best one so far. Rooms was 100% adequate and offered exactly what was stated, beds was comfortable, rooms was spacious and kitchenette had everything one needed for the stay. We booked 2 rooms, family room and double room. Both were top notch!
This must be one of the best guesthouses in Ermelo. Beautiful clean room. At this place you feel so relax. You feel guilty for leaving the next day. Please make sure you have there stunning breakfast in the morning before leaving. What a great place.
Dinner was delivered to the room. The fillet and roast veggies for me and chicken salad for my wife was top quality....well prepared. Unfortunately serviettes and condiments (pepper & salt) were not provided.
I felt Queens Garden Guesthouse is definitely the one to stay in Ermelo. I highly recommend it.out of 4 that I've stayed at in Ermelo this one is for me
