Langdam is a hidden sanctuary in the most beautiful mountains close to Montagu. I needed a peaceful escape for myself with my dogs, and what I found was an incredible hidden gem - a home away from home - where I was welcomed like family by hosts Haiko, Benita, Garth, and the farm dogs. My dogs were introduced to the pack in an integrative way, and soon it was frolicking in the beautiful damn and running through the orchards. I couldn't have wished for more. The cottages at Langdam offer you escape from people and every-day life, while you also have the opportunity to socialise at the lapa, make use of their perfect little supply store (stocked with essentials like local lamb chops, snacks, organic honey and wine!), or take the scenic drive into Montagu. The beds and white linen provided extreme comfort, while the lovely garden overlooking the dam made the perfect surround for my own private Kolkol hot tub. Without a doubt, Langdam is one of the best mountain escapes I have ever been to, and my dogs would totally agree! I cannot wait to return and show all of my friends this epic spot!

The property is located in the mountains, which provides the most amazing scenery and serene environment. The cottage is ultra modern, beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. An outdoor braai area and pool for warm days and a cozy fireplace for colder weather. Nina and Nic, the owners were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Mary Anne was also amazing. My kids and I enjoyed the fruit picking and beautiful surroundings. Definitely a place we would go back to.

Estelle was very welcoming and helpful. The grounds are just beautiful and the room very comfortable with everything I needed. Lovely fresh white linen and towels and big comfortable pillows. I loved the pool area, the delicious breakfast and the lovely outdoor shower.

I want to especially commend Gaynor, who was at reception when we arrived. We had a difficult and over-long road journey and Gaynor, who could see how tired we were, went out of her way to see us settled into our rooms and for dinner. The 4x2 trail was perfect to test out my repaired Pajero's rear diff. The accommodation was comfortable and perfect for families to entertain each other with board games. The balcony provides a perfect setting to sit outside on camp chairs while dad is tending to the braai.
