The accommodation was awesome, the reception super friendly and informative. The view was unequaled. It was a most memorable stay. The meals at Dutton's Cove were amazing. So glad that we chose Herold's Bay as a destination and Ozone Apartments as our host. The hike to the cross and the view from there was breathtaking. We were even blessed to see well over 300 dolphins in 2 consecutive days and 2 whales. Will definitely re-visit.

VERY GOOD ,BUT THE LOCAL SHOP HAS NOT MUCH TO OFFER.
LOW ON STOCK AND THE BREAD WERE OLD.ON SUNDAY THE PLACE WERE PACKED AND SOME VISITORS HAD FIGHTS OVER PARKING SPACE.AS THERE IS NO DEMARCATED PARKING SPACE FOR VISITORS STAYING OVER ,SO IT WAS A BATTLE IF YOU LEFT YOUR PARKING SPACE AND RETURN AND COULD NOT FIND PARKING.

Herolds Bay is a gem of a destination.
Herolds Bay is a gem of a destination. A little hamlet hidden in the garden route. It is small and tucked away with a beautiful beach and tidal pool with little Rock pools along the way for children to explore.
It is a great destination to just get away and explore with the kids or to just relax.

The beach is a must, the restaurant at Dutton Cove is almost “a star” restaurant not only because of the menu , the cook, the people who serve and the place where it is situated but also you can come as you are!
The beautiful trails you can walk are a real nice thing to do!

IT IS A SMALL RESORT BUT VERY NICE IN THIS OUT-OF-SEASON TIME. THE WHOLE GARDEN ROUTE IS NICE WITH PLENTY OF THINGS TO DO.
THERE ARE VERY FEW FACILITIES FOR BULK SHOPPING, SO THIS WOULD BE DONE IN GEORGE OR GARDEN ROUTE MALL.

close to the N2 but no noise, easy stopover if going to Cape Town or on long trip. Near to George where there are lots of restaurants to choose from but very busy. We liked that Herolds Bay was not crowded and noisy.
Awesome place next to a nice restaurant with great food. We got easy bookings because we stayed at the resort. Owner made sure to give as every morning a different breakfast. You are walking distance from the beach. But it is only for the fit. That 400m was the longest 8km I have ever walked. For the slow people. It is a mother of a steap klim back to the hotel.
We were upgraded upon check in to one of the hotel rooms. This was our 5th time we stayed at Oubaai, but the first time in the actual hotel itself. This was very nice surprise. Rooms are exactly the same as on the outside, but what makes it convenient is the fact that when you go for breakfast you don't have to leave the hotel. I really liked that.
Location excellent - on the beach and overlooking the ocean. Friendly owner and staff and helpful. Enjoyed the braai facilities and balcony/outside area. kitchen had all we needed. bathroom was fine. Bedroom had a king bed and comfortable. Good underground parking and easy to access. Great walking in the area.
Beautiful location right next to the beach. A super great host, she communicated with us frequently, and we had a seamless check-in. We had a very comfortable stay. Security features of the property are to be greatly commended. Well organized unit, with nothing missing. My family loved the place!
The staff are all amazing here and I take my hat off to the chef Anro. He went out of his way to make sure that we were all comfortable and his cooking is absolutely terrific. There is no doubt that when we are back for another trip in the Garden Route, that we will visit here again!
Beautiful views from the roof balcony over Heroldsbaai. The establishment has everything you need for a night's or longer's stay. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. It is a light and airy apartment, within walking distance from the beach.
NO BREAKFAST : it was self catering! It complied to all the info supplied by Booking.com and our stay was comfortable and very enjoyable. Will certainly recommend this establishment to any and all friends & family interested to visit Herolds Bay.
The place was neat and clean and we had a lovely view of the sea from our room. There is a restaurant on the premises as well. Their food is value for money. I'll highly recommend this place for overnight stay.
a beachfront hotel with a beautiful view... can't beat that. what a lovely place. It's a shame it was only a night. I will definitely return for a couple of nights. the host was lovely and friendly.
We really appreciated the complimentary wine we received. The place is beautiful and comfortable. I loved that there was a nice selection of glasses to choose from, especially wine glasses 🙂
