We spent two nights at Kosi Khaya! It was diffinately home away from home! So if u looking for this, then this is for u!
Everything was perfect! The host was supper friendly,helpful, and accommodating! Really, such a pleasant stay! The unit was clean and located not too far from the shops. I loved most, was all the little stuff that was available to use, milk, coffee, sugar, etc. And the Host put up an extra bed to accommodate our kids. Was really spacious!

Nicoline & Phillip are fantastic hosts and so accommodating.
Their Gourmet burgers are an absolute must.
They are completely off grid, so even with power interruptions, you feel no impact - an absolutely winner in the Kosi Bay heat!
Chalets are roomy, clean with a rustic feel (yet still modern) and with everything you need to make your stay super comfortable. Just bring yourself, clothes, food (or eat in) & own swimming towels. Nicolene & Phillip are avid travellers themselves and thus have catered to what they would expect if they were staying somewhere.
The atmosphere is relaxed - compared to other lodges in the area that have constant hustle and bustle of people and activities (that can sometimes just make your holiday feel more taxing), Umusa is pure relaxation.
Well located (10mins from Sans Park Office, 15 Minutes from Manguzi, 30 Mins from the river mouth) and located near all the other lodges should you wish to day visit.
Most rooms have old carpets. We had to request a unit change. The unit numbers are missing, and some are incomplete. One of our windows did not have a handle.
The place has a great potential, maybe a new management company will improve it. Some things were not thought through or planned for, such as the back door numbers (which are non existant), the parking, is a joke.
It has a great potential, it needs upgrades here and there and a bit of thoughtfulness.

The staff is amazing, the room is spacious, clean and the bed is super comfortable. The location is a little far out but the front desk was super helpful in arranging a ride if needed. It is a beautiful resort.
