The town is very easily layed out and full of history.
The town is very easily layed out and full of history. Guided and unguided tours are available to visit the war that took place in the area. The richness in history and facts are felt throughout town. Not many restaurants available. Ensure that you do visit the area and plan enough time to visit at least two war sites.

Ladysmith is a great stopping off point between Johannesburg...
Ladysmith is a great stopping off point between Johannesburg and Durban and has the excellent Nambiti Game reserve and the battlefields close by.
Not sure I would want to walk the streets at night but it has all the shopping that you may want.
The Coffee Pot is an excellent café with good food and drink and great service.
This is the gem of Ladysmith. The location is absolutely stunning, purched on the top of the hill looking over the Eastern part of the town. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the staff is amazing. Chey and her team are the jewel in the crown, friendly service with a smile and home style warmth.
The place is one of a kind. It's clean and comfortable. It's got a lot of character and completely relaxes you. The magement and staff were friendly and catered for our needs. Whenever I visit Ladysmith I will remember the name "Bokmakerrie"
This B&B is excellent! The staff and host are super friendly. They are so welcoming. Breakfast was amazing! Food prepared fresh everyday. Great location, super neat facility. I would definitely go there again if in Ladysmith.
Our room was absolutely stunning, overlooking the whole of Ladysmith! we loved the free-standing bath and the bed and pillows were so comfortable! The Honestly Bar was such a lovely idea and we enjoyed spending time in it.
The property is very clean and the staff were very friendly. Instructions were clearly marked on the property about does and don’t. If I have another commitment in Ladysmith I know Convent Hill Lodge is a place to go to.
The host was so friendly and welcoming, literally a call or text away. The rooms were beautiful and spacious. The breakfast tasted like home. Will definitely be coming here again when visiting in Ladysmith
