Business visit in the area and was recommended to stay here. Enjoyable stay. Rooms were simple, effective and clean. The restaurant and bar on site had good menu choices and was enjoyable. Staff were friendly. Lucky enough to see a hippo in the river behind the lodge which was an added bonus!

It was my first time in a safari tent and I love it. It was an amazing experience. Friendly staff. The food was delicious. The stay made an effort to make gluten-free food for me. We simply loved this lodge and our stay here!😍 We actually liked it so much that we extended it by another night. The rooms are beautiful with direct views onto the river where you can spot different animals walking by. But the best thing about this lodge is the people who work here! First and foremost, Johan and his wife Adelina, who are the managers - they are around 24/7 for any queries you might have. They made sure that we felt welcome at all times and that we were enjoying our stay to the fullest! To us, it really did feel like a home away from home! 🙏The rest of the staff are also really nice and we especially loved the food! We are real foodies who eat out a lot, and the food we had here was amongst the best we had on our whole trip - the chefs are very well trained and talented! This was our first Safari, and we enjoyed it a lot. We didn't know what to expect, really, but the guides and trackers were super kind! The price per night includes two game drives of 3 hours each (one morning and one afternoon drive) and this makes it really good value for money, in our opinion. We stayed 4 nights and managed to see all of the Big 5 animals! What we also really liked is that the reserve only allows 2 vehicles per animal sighting, so you don't feel like you're intruding the natural space of the animals. Overall, this was an amazing experience. If you're looking for a unique getaway or a honeymoon-type destination, this should be it ☺️

We got upgraded to the Becks safari lodge and it was the most amazing holiday we have had. It was such a great experience and we will definitely be back. The staff are absolutely amazing and so lovely. The food is 5 star and the game drives are so much fun. We saw all 5 of the big 5 animals and many others. Got to be so close to the animals and learnt so much from our ranger Kevin. He is so amazing and great at his job.
