The beautiful lodge is located in the south of the private game reserve. We had a fantastic time. Our guide Gerry was able to tell us so much about the animals and plants and was able to recognize and correctly interpret the tracks of the animals, which was very impressive. We also had many breathtaking and funny moments in our encounters with the animals. The safaris were always the highlight of the day. And if it was still fresh in the morning, there were even hot water bottles ready.
The lodge itself and the staff never left anything to be desired. The particularly delicious food deserves special mention.

She found out I was running a race in the morning and would miss breakfast, and promptly arranged for me to get a packed breakfast the next morning. When I left at 3am, my breakfast was ready!
We had dinner in the restaurant and service was prompt and the food good. The manager explained the various memorabilia in the room and gave us interesting insights into the history of Ladysmith. Waiting staff were lovely, in particular to my daughters.
This hotel is well kept and a real gem. Will be back!
