We loved everything about Angala, it so serene and relaxing in a beautiful environment. Showing outside with mountains on the horizon was a highlight for me personally

Easy to get around, stayed at Babylonstoren and ate and drank at the property. Food was great, fresh and healthy but the property is way too busy with "Day visitors" - talking bus loads.......
Other than that and if you don't mind people milling everywhere a beautiful location

All very special indeed.
I was there with 3 adult children.
We did everything on offer.
The bikes/the walks/the runs and the swimming and canoeing in the lake and the most super food at breakfast most particularly.
It would suit all kinds of families/age groups.
We only had 3 days there and so potentially one could run out of things to do but we didn't.

Excellent location for travelling to and from and well...
Excellent location for travelling to and from and well situated close to Paarl. Bablyonstoren and Vrede en Lust are close by for vinyards. Also Paarl is only 5 km away. It is well situated with fine views of the mountains and vinyards.
Perfect location to explore the area of Stellenbosch, Franshoek, Paarl, etc. Very central to many interesting places & activities.
About a 45-minute drive to Cape Town central
Personal attention & extremely friendly service from the owner, Kimi. This was truly special & highly appreciated.
Maya is the resident pet who we immediately adored & just fell in love with.
The warmth created by the fireplace was an absolute pleasure & all the facilities provided were more than adequate.
Amazing historic house right in the centre of the South African wine area. You really smell the old oak in the history of this very well mentained house. I had a great conversations with the host, she is a lovely woman. Telling me stories of the history and preparing a small early breakfast.
Would definitely love to stay here again and highly recommend it!
Excellent location, close to Cape Town but still feel like you are far away from everything.
View of the dam from the apartment is beautiful in the morning with the catfish jumping.
Kids enjoyed it as well. You can order at the restaurant and have picnic on the lawns or at the play area.
Check in was smooth with a very friendly receptionist who took us to our rooms and explained the hotel facilities.
The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well appointed.
The estate tasting room has great views of the area and hotel; guests are treated to a complimentary tasting.
The Property must have a big sign on the road, like other lodges or hotels, which shows the direction from the main road. The property can attract more tourists or people if they can use the open space to generate their own power by erecting a solar power plant.
Great location. Friendly and cozy hotel, making you feel like being at home. Comfortable bed for a good night of sleep, apartment exceptional clean, kitchen with coffee and tea available and even some milk in the fridge for your tea. I really felt at home.
The appointment of the rooms and attention to detail of Babylonstoren is amazing and it was a superb two night stay. The concept of farm to table is phenomenal. Spectacular gardens and mountain drive with amazing views.
Staff were wonderful
Restaurant food at Savoye was fantastic
Wine tasting was great and staff knowledgeable
Great views
Grounds were vast
Very central to wine farms including the wine tram
Rustic with farm stay style facilities, this is not a hotel, but it’s great if you are happy with the rustic farm stay style. Amazing views and decent food in the restaurant.
