- very friendly staff - comfortable and large room with all amenities it requires - two nice pools, a larger and a smaller one - authentic breakfast, we especially liked the Uganda Rolex dish :) - close proximity to Addo Elephant Park main entrance - Management pro-actively mentioning the proximity of a gravel road close by where there's potential louder truck traffic (but was not a problem at all) - also, as there is no dinner available, the Elephant House already reserved us a table in a restaurant near by - excellent service! - large grocery shopping facility within 5min drive

Camp Figtree is a pretty special place! We stayed in a suite that exceeded our expectations, both with design and mountain views over the valley. The road up the mountain took us 30 mins off-tarmac at a slow pace due to being in a rental sedan and dodging the potholes, but upon arrival the staff had us drinks prepared and were very welcoming. The suite was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed using the pool and couldn't get enough of the views of the valley and the incredible night sky. All meals were superb, and the staff in the restaurant were very attentive. Especially liked that the chef came around the tables to meet us after dinner was finished. We felt completely spoilt the entire stay, and didn't want to leave!

Nita and Mike were very welcoming. Their home is lovely. We would certainly stay with them again. The room was perfect for our family of four. If was really handy to have a fridge. Our breakfast was super, I enjoyed chatting to Nita about her beloved dogs and family. The fresh lemon juice was a lovely touch.

Second time we stayed here. We were greeted by the very friendly hosts upon arrival, who explained everything we needed to know and more. We were welcomed with some nice treats such as home made cookies and bread, and honey from the farm. Location of the house is very quiet and fully surrounded by nature. It's a very spacious house, it has large bedrooms with comfortable beds, more than enough bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. This is the perfect stay when visiting the Addo region.
