We arrived on Good Friday of the Easter weekend and settled into our accommodation at Eikelaan Farm Cottages. Saturday was spent getting to know the history of Tulbagh at the Earthquake museum, old church & cemetery, and wandering down Church street admiring the restored old buildings. Rijk’s Wine estate just outside of town for lunch, and Daphne’s for dinner. Sunday we enjoyed lunch at The Tulbagh Boutique Hotel at their Olive Bistro restaurant. Great food & wine.

We loved the wine farms and visited several. The Valentine's Day dinner at Manley wine estate was excellent and the Tulbagh Hotel dinner was very good. The museums in the historic street are really interesting It is an easy area to get around, albeit always by car. We would avoid staying in such rustic accommodation and choose a wine farm instead

Could have stayed for a week instead of a weekend. Fabulous staff at the Cape Dutch Quarter Hotel, such an eclectic mix of Georgian & old Cape Dutch buildings .....all connected by peaceful gardens & even a lovely pool. Our room was self catering but with so many great eateries/vineyards we didn't bother cooking ourselves!!!! Highly recommend

We expected to browse around small shops, but there were none. The most exciting shop was a Second hand store. Beautiful buildings, but that's about it. We went on a Wednesday and Thursday. Maybe weekends are better? Went to Saronsberg Winery, which was lovely. Perhaps to venture outside Tulbach is the way to go.

Tulbagh is a lovely little town, situated just 1.5 hours away from Cape Town. The town has a very artistic "vibe" to it with lots of lovely places to visit. The surrounding farmlands are beautiful, and it is also in the heart of Swartland wine-country. Tulbagh is a place I do enjoy visiting and will happily recommend it to travels, both foreign and local alike.

We booked a couple nights as we needed a location near to a venue for family friends wedding. The pricing was incredibly reasonable for the time of year and when we we arrived we were blown away by how stunning the house really was. Everything was spick and span, there were complementary fruit and eggs etc as it is located on a working farm. Furthermore our hosts were very gracious and welcoming. I would highly recommend L'Bloom to anyone looking for accomodation in Tulbagh

What an incredible little escape. The cottages are hidden away at the back of the vineyard with their own little private patios that overlook GORGEOUS vineyards and valley mountains. The cottage was filled with surprises from a bottle of wine, to coffee pods, to milk and cookies.. olive oil and spices. SUCH great touches. If you are looking for a little escape THIS IS IT. so much to do in Tulbagh! I will most definitely be back… thank you !!!!!

The location is lovely, out of town in the countryside and really well maintained for such a massive area. The hotel is quirky and super cool and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a delicious curry dinner cooked by chef Marvin who came out of the kitchen to ask if we were enjoying our meal. Breakfast the next morning was also great. The hotel is pet friendly, so that made a big difference for us.

The accommodations are set in a lovely wine estate outside of Tulbagh. It was off the road, so quiet, with room to roam the grape vines, and walk around. We were near a lovely swimming pool, but didn’t swim as the weather was cool. Included in our accommodation was a wonderful breakfast, with great options, beautifully presented. A wine tasting was available in the mid-afternoon.

We loved staying in the Tulbagh hotel. Of the 3 rooms booked for the family, all were unique with different layouts, furnishings and personal touches. The hotel offered a homely feeling while still providing all the services expected of a hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location excellent. All our needs were met. Thank you Tulbagh Boutique Hotel.

We loved chilling on the deck overlooking mountains, zebra and buck, while snacking on the cheese platter delivered to us and drinking wine from the local wine farms. The staff at Reception and at the Spa were super helpful with recommendations on where to go for breakfast and where to watch the rugby. Enjoyed the easy access to Spa facilities, and divine massage!

It was pet friendly, relatively private and of course the wine is amazing there. The farm is beautiful and it was great to be able to ride our bicycles around there. The little deli was open early so we could get good coffee a short walk in our PJs to get back into bed on a cold winter's morning.

Facilities were self catering and therefore no breakfast was served. The location was perfect for us as it was very central to the places / areas we wanted to visit in the Tulbagh and surrounding areas. Really enjoyed swimming in the dam in the middle of a heat wave that hit the cape winelands.

Serenity , mountain view was breathtaking. The fact that it was on a wine farm was a bonus as we had a nice wine tasting session and thereafter we spend some time at the lovely little pool absorbing th beauty of the mountains, vineyards and surroundings. It is nice and private too!!

Most beautiful gardens and peaceful surroundings. Enjoyed the winetasting under the trees. We overnighted in the stables, loved the room and found it cool inside despite the heat outside. Loved the friendly family of dogs, they were well behaved and a pleasure to have on the farm.

Beautiful wine farm, close to town and other wine farms. The food was fab, breakfast was tasty & well presented with plenty of options. The dinner we had was also top class. The rooms were spacious, clean and to not suffer from Load shedding was an added bonus.
