Protea Hotel by Marriott Ndola is set in Ndola, a 9-minute walk from Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. Among the various facilities are a bar and on-site dining. The property is 5 km from Copperbelt Museum. The outside surroundings near the pool were dirty. When we got to the tables, we had to call for someone to come and clean the table and the floor. It should clean all the time. The outside toilet should also be taken care of.
With garden views, Copperbelt Executive Accommodation Ndola is situated in Ndola and has a restaurant, room service, snack bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and barbecue. The breakfast and service was excellent. Surroundings and setting were exceptionally comfortable. I look forward to my next opportunity to stay - and hopefully, take my wife because she will enjoy.
Moba Hotel and Convention Centre is situated at the gateway to the city of Kitwe City in Copperbelt Province. This eco-friendly hotel features lush landscaped gardens and overlooks the countryside. We reserved five double rooms at Moba Hotel for eight nights. This hotel provided exceptional service and comfort at affordable rates. The staff is very friendly and quickly accommodated all our requests. Without exception staff member greeted us whenever they were nearby. The front desk staff was always courteous. The Hotel manager and the Director of Activities both check on us each day to be sure all our needs were being addressed. It is by far the best value in hotel accommodations I've had in my six trips to Africa. All our rooms were exceptionally clean. They included comfortable beds with clean bedding, fresh towels daily, bottled water, a mini-fridge, showers/bathtubs and a/c. The hotel also has an excellent backup generator that immediately kicked in each time the local power company cut off electricity. The hotel restaurant offers a variety of meal and libation selections. We found food quality very good and portions to be generous. Breakfast, which was included in the room price, offered a wide selection including ham or bacon and sausage, cooked to order eggs, plus other breakfast selections. Other meal prices were quite reasonable. At each meal the chef personally inquired if we were satisfied; and despite it being a last minute request, he even baked a cake for us on our last night. Food service was leisurely by American standards but typical of African restaurant serving times. Same day Laundry service was efficient and reasonably priced. The only reason I don't give the hotel a perfect score is due to a few incidental shortcomings such as not providing wash cloths and the need to stagger shower time to be assured of hot water. But these few minor inconveniences in no way diminishes my enthusiasm for Moba Hotel. It's staff and accommodations provided our group an excellent experience and exceptional value during our eight night stay.
