Location is excellent. It is just a short walk from the train station. The accommodation was very comfortable and very clean. There was a patio area up a flight of stairs at the back of the property that made for a clear view of Mount Fuji during our stay.

The space was perfect for our large group of 15 friends visiting the Mt. Fuji area for one night. Using the lockbox to get in was convenient. The house was clean and in a great location with easy access to the lake and a lot of beautiful scenery! We took the highway bus to and from Tokyo.

Umeya Annex is a Japanese private home run by an oshi, or a religious teacher that guides and assists visitors on pilgrimages. The property is located next to the oshi's home that was built in 1776 and the only one existing in Kawaguchiko. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property.

Great hospitality, host even brought us some fruits in the afternoon. Very responsive by chat and gave some good advice about the weather and the area. Nice views of Mount Fuji from the room.

The whole apartment basically has a nice tatami floor and for sleeping there are futons which are also quite nice. The location is very convenient allowing easy and quick access to surrounding sightseeing and hiking places (i.e., with a car). Supermarkets are within walking distance. Great value for the money. Overall, we had an excellent stay.

The share area and bathroom are so clean. The view from my room was even stunning- Mt Fuji😁 Boss was so nice- allowed us for early checking in after coming back from hiking and no extra charge for luggage storage. Would recommend for people who plans for hiking but likes to stay in a more quiet place (two stations away from Kawaguchiko).
