With river views, casa montañista lodge & camping is set in Huaraz and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden, outdoor fireplace and picnic area. This recently renovated country house features a building dating back to 2022, which is 4.9 km from the Estadio Rosas Pampa. The country house offers mountain views, a sun terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property.

In short, 5 booked days turned into two weeks. We immediately felt at home and incredibly comfortable. For us it was a little paradise. The river that borders the house is perfect for swimming or fishing. From the outdoor kitchen you had a really beautiful view of the mountains, the river and the sunrise. It is a beautiful, quiet place with chickens, cats and sheep that belong to Walter's mother. She lives on the property and supplied us with little things to eat and drink from her little shop. When we were there, there were two baby cats that we really loved. It is super easy, quick and cheap to get to Huaraz town with the collectivo bus. From the property you can walk several small treks, such as to viewpoints and to a waterfall. We were lucky that Walter accompanied us on an adventurous hike to the waterfall. We already miss it and can highly recommend this beautiful spot in nature to everyone. It really exceeded our expectations. Thanks again to Walter and his mother.

Nicely decorated and well apointed bungalow set in a lovely garden. Huarez is a noisy and rather chaotic city however Villa Valencia was an oasis of calm, secure, quiet, clean and green. although we had a full kitchen an excellent breakfast was provided.

Lovely boutique hotel in a nice garden Quiet and peaceful despite the chaos of Huarez We took the option of a 2 bedroom bungalow sharing with our friends rather than 2 separate rooms and appreciated the space and the full kitchen .

It's so quiet and peaceful. A beautiful space. The staff are wonderful and one of them speaks English well. There's a garden with a friendly dog, chickens, budgies and guinea pigs.

The breakfast was great, with fruit, eggs, toast amongst other options on the top floor with a wonderful view of the mountains. The hosts were excellent, very helpful with lots of contacts to help me with my trekking and mountaineering plans. The location is on a quiet street within about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Huaraz.

Beyond the fantastic welcoming and relaxed mini community feeling in the lodging, the best part is all the tips for hiking/ trekking/ climbing and mountaineering. You ll find advices to suit your budget whether in autonomy or in a tour. You can pay directly for the tours and you ll be picked up at the lodging door. Simply amazing hosts and staff.

Owners were SO helpful when helping us plan for the Huayhuash trek unguided. Helped us book a taxi from Chiquian to Pocpa, gave us useful information, and lots of suggestions on how we could make our hike even better! Also just generally helpful and kind, laundry service was wonderful and reasonably priced, and the rooftop patio is cute. This is a quiet hostel which was really welcome after 9 days of trekking!

Norma was a great host. The house was extremely clean, which was very nice. Norma also provided our trekking to Laguna 69 which was super nice. The price/quality expectations were beyond met. It is a nice, quiet residency from where you can go on trips/trekkings well-rested.

+ friendly and helpful staff + I could store my luggage during a trekking tour + early check-in and late check-outs are possible (but charged extra) + the hotel is a few blocks away from the center and the larger streets, so it is more quiet at night
