Mar was an excellent host who catered for our every whim, couldn't do enough for us. Casa Rural Selmo is a very peaceful place with fantastic rustic decor. We could not fault anything.

When You arrive at this place, You feel immediately comfortable and when the weather is clear, you have an amazing view of the mountains out of the windows of your room. This place let you breathe in tranquillity and enjoy the marvellous nature of picos de Europa and beautiful beaches only 30 minutes by car. Idaia serve you a delicious breakfast to have a good start in the day, you can have an extraordinary lunchpaket for a trip and we highly recommend to take the dinner in the house cause it is excellent and in a cosy room. For us the Refugio del Cares is a very special place to come back again and again when you have the oppurtunity. A Great Thank to Idaia and Drago for the Exceptionnal stay we did have and we appreciated with our heart and soul. We are looking forward to come back next year. Tania and Rudi.

We liked the high standard of renovation and decoration of this traditional village house. The decor could be described as "rustic chic" . Everything you might need to self cater was there, an induction hob, a microwave ,a fridgefreezer but no oven. It is well situated for touring the beautiful eastern Asturias coast with its many dramatic beaches., the Picos mountains and the Sueve mountains. The area deserves to be better known by the British; it is popular with Spanish families. It does rain occasionally but on the whole is pleasantly warm, rather than unpleasantly hot. There was a seating and dining area on a patio and the surrounding scenery was lovely, mountains , woods and lots of flowers. Very unspoiled.

The views are amazing, the rooms are modern and have many facilities. The jacuzzi and the sun terras are a great plus! Great place to be in contact with nature and find peace.
