At the bed and breakfast, the rooms have a desk. With a private bathroom, some units at Château Mesny also feature a patio. All units have a wardrobe. A very quiet night in this wonderful, manor-like castle. The room was very large, with original furniture and a view across the lush green garden. Breakfast was ample with fresh bread, croissants and delicacies from the area, served in our own breakfast room - splendid! This is not a "commercial" enterprise as is the case with many of these castles - the owners Marie-Simone and Pascal really go the extra mile to make their guests welcome. We felt more like friends visiting rather than tourists passing by. A great experience which we hope to repeat when we are in the area next time. Thanks very much for having us!

This is a unique environment..... a 19th century manor house that has been lovingly restored with lots of quirky decoration points showing its long history. The owner is passionate about the house and it shows - he has a wealth of stories. The house has been restored true to its history - the bathroom is modern but in all other respects it is like stepping back in time - a very welcome change after all the anonymous chain hotels i have stayed in. There is only 1 guest room at present and you have the run of a lovely bedroom and reception room. We had an evening meal and breakfast there - both featuring local produce (in the case of breakfast this means eggs from the free-range hens that have the run of the garden) - all presented and served beautifully - even catering for my diet!

An 18th-century castle set in manicured garden with a pond, Le Château de Failloux Piscine interieure Sauna offers a terrace, and WiFi is free of charge in the entire property. The property is 3.5 km from Épinal. So lovely to be able to stay in a historic château. The grounds were very pretty. Our rooms were large and very comfortable and quiet.  The breakfast in the morning was very nicely done and the homemade yogurt was the best we have ever had.

In a quiet countryside location, the Château D'Alteville is a haven of peace. The free on-site parking is convenient for guests wishing to explore the area by car. Nancy, Metz and Strasbourg are a short drive away. David was a wonderful host, welcoming us into his lovely family home and making us feel very comfortable. The property is beautiful. Be sure to enjoy the group dinner and after dinner drinks with the other guests! Also be sure to bring cash!

There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. There is a picnic area and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. The place looks fantastic from the outside. The inside though wasn't a strong 10. The apartment we lived in looked like a modernized version of a servants' room back in the days it was a true castle. Cool, but not perfect.
