The cozy atmosphere, coupled with the picturesque surroundings, made for a perfect getaway. The hotel's location allowed easy access to the beauty of the Lake District, making it a convenient base for adventures. The friendly staff contributes to the warm atmosphere, greeting guests with smiles and a passion for service. The rooms is clean, cozy and comfortable. The home made butter brings pure joy in every bite😄. Everything made my visit a delightful and memorable experience.

On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the country house's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. Everything was perfect, the place, the view. A very quiet and beautiful place, we will definitely come back.

Barton Hall has loads of character. Breakfast was excellent. Nice little discovery, will definitely be back!

High Grassings Country House is a 16-minute drive from Grizedale Forest and the cosy hamlet of Hawkshead is less than 2 miles away. The historical town of Ambleside is 13 minutes' drive away and Windermere is just 8 miles away. We booked this weekend away for my mum and my husband for a surprise 60th + 70t birthday treat. They both absolutely loved the stay and, the staff were exceptional. They definitely would stay again. Receptionist staff were very helpful and were very attentive, and very polite.

Set in an acre of gardens, in the picturesque village of Grasmere, Lake View Country House is located in the heart of the Lake District, in a recently-renovated period property with original features. There is private access to Grasmere lake-shore. Free parking is available on site. The suite was very clean and immaculately presented. It had everything that we needed and we greatly enjoyed our stay. We loved the house and the grounds which are clearly very well looked after. Dogs are more than welcome and catered for with treats and blankets. The property was very easy to find and the private parking was useful. Having a discount at The Good Sport pub was a bonus.

Breakfast superb. Owners very friendly and helpful. Rooms good size and very comfortable. Great location with short walk into town. Grounds spacious and well kept. Maps, torches etc available if required.

With Lake Windermere just 6 minutes’ drive away, this Cumbrian hotel offers a full breakfast menu and free parking and Wi-Fi. The place felt very homely, beautiful and located close to Mount Rydal. Breakfast service is amazing. Mark and Helena are excellent hosts. Highly recommended!

Ees Wyke Country House is an elegant Georgian property in the Lake District, less than 3 miles from the town of Hawkshead. Set on high-ground the house overlooks Esthwaite Water and offers free parking. We liked the location & the views. Breakfast was delicious & fresh. Employees were so kind, respectful & so helpful. We enjoyed the whole experience & we look forward to come back again to enjoy your coffee that we didn’t have enough time to drink it although it smelled so nice! ;)

Netherdene Country House Bed & Breakfast’s rooms all have a flat-screen TV as well as a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Free tea, coffee and ironing facilities are provided, and all rooms look across the countryside. The property was clean, nicely maintained and decorated. Felt like home as soon as we stepped in. The dining room is brilliant with the view. The host is very friendly and welcoming.
