Barton Hall has loads of character. Breakfast was excellent. Nice little discovery, will definitely be back!

High Grassings Country House is a 16-minute drive from Grizedale Forest and the cosy hamlet of Hawkshead is less than 2 miles away. The historical town of Ambleside is 13 minutes' drive away and Windermere is just 8 miles away. We booked this weekend away for my mum and my husband for a surprise 60th + 70t birthday treat. They both absolutely loved the stay and, the staff were exceptional. They definitely would stay again. Receptionist staff were very helpful and were very attentive, and very polite.

Set in an acre of gardens, in the picturesque village of Grasmere, Lake View Country House is located in the heart of the Lake District, in a recently-renovated period property with original features. There is private access to Grasmere lake-shore. Free parking is available on site. Great location and view from the room (Lake room), cozy interior and brilliant set up with tea and coffee in the room (I mean almond milk in sticks - very thoughtful!). Overall great experience- probably our best stay in the Lakes so far.

With Lake Windermere just 6 minutes’ drive away, this Cumbrian hotel offers a full breakfast menu and free parking and Wi-Fi. We had a lovely stay at Rydal lodge. It was the perfect little getaway! Mark and Helena went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, giving us advice on where to eat and walk. Our room was comfortable and cosy. The gardens and surrounding area was beautiful, with easy access to Rydal lake. Couldn't recommend enough!

Set on high-ground the house overlooks Esthwaite Water and offers free parking. Well cooked good choices, staff we very attentive without being over the top ,bed was very comfy 👌 very peaceful relaxing place to be will be back there again best kept secret in the lakes ,the evening meal we had was excellent cooked to perfection by Richard

Netherdene Country House Bed & Breakfast’s rooms all have a flat-screen TV as well as a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Free tea, coffee and ironing facilities are provided, and all rooms look across the countryside. location ideal for our needs.Hosts were excellent.Dean was so helpful.His knowledge of the area was excellent.He helped us daily with tips on what to ,where to go etc.He always had a chat in the breakfast room to all his guests.Breakfast was very good .View from property was beautiful. great value for money also. would definitely stay again
