The kitchen was extremely well equipped - which was great for us after a long day of hiking as we like to stay in and cook - rather than going to a restaurant. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden and it was lovely to sit out and have a coffee in the morning. The house is in an excellent location for touring the island, or if you are going off hiking. It feels secluded, yet you are near enough to the main road that goes between the east and west coast - as well as the roads that run into the beautiful mountains. There are shops and restaurants a short drive away and we thought that Vasiliki was great - we were there in low season though - I'm sure it gets busier. The plentiful hot water and bath were a real bonus after a day hiking. Communication with Anastasia was impeccable, from start to finish. She wasn't around at the time - but her Mum and Dad came over to leave us fresh fruit and eggs as well as saying goodbye on the last day. They were lovely people - this is a well run, genuine family business.

The stuff was nice, showing us the room when we arrived and also he was also present when we left. He warned us since the beginning that we need to bring with us food (in case we are hungry) and water because he doesn’t have to sell, which was okay with us. The nearest town is Karya ( around 10 min with the car ) from where you can buy supplies. The pool was nice and clean and the whole property made us feel like we where in a castle with a nice view.
