I stayed for a very enjoyable week in October '22. There are some minor maintenance and cleaning issues but overall the space is perfectly adequate for a solo or couple.The view from the bedroom, balcony and the entry patio more than make up for any deficiencies. There are plenty of electrical outlets (unusual in an older house), the bed was comfortable, the shower, although small, was good with plenty of hot water, the kitchen was adequate for my needs, good wifi. I would definitely want to stay in the Captain's House on a return visit to Poros.

The view from the balcony is great, the place is surrounded by hills without any residencies, making it so quiet and peaceful at night. The lights from Poros across the sea are all the lights you need to stay up late in the balcony and enjoy the night with family or friends. The house was fully equipped, the kitchen had all appliances and the espresso capsules and jar of honey provided were adding to the hospitality we were experiencing. The house could easily host two one-child families, or one bigger family of five.

The view was spectacular and the host was extremely friendly and helpful. She met us at the port and arranged a taxi for us. The location was very quiet and peaceful. The fridge was full of delights including beer and wine. When we were there in June we could see the sunrise and the sunset from the veranda which was amazing.
