Located in Jost Van Dyke, 1.1 km from White Bay Beach, Ocean View Villas provides accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden. This apartment had Great Bay views from the balcony and small views from the bedroom windows and even the shower room. So lovely! The bed was super comfortable and firm. The a/c worked great at night and that's mostly when we used it to sleep. The finishes in the 1 bdrm on the top 3rd floor that was not facing the cell phone tower about 30 yards away is where we stayed, and it had very nice finishes and tasteful linen throughout. I also appreciated that Karen left stuff that were not finished by earlier tenants and left them for us such as few snacks and drinks. When I came back with no butter from the store, she kindly provided me with a block for my breakfasts I cooked daily. Even 2 tablespoons of butter can be a relief to have since they only sold large amounts of butter at the store. There were 2 small markets, one larger and one smaller. We got decent cage-free eggs from the larger store ($4.50) and english muffins from the smaller store when the kind store keeper split the 12-pack in half for our purchase and even threw in an onion. I liked seeing blacks own many of the small businesses here like restaurants. There was a vibe here of contentment of living in in a close knit community. Nice to see! The house gets great easterly wind so it's not very warm and a/c doesn't need to be cranked up. Rain is rare on JVD, so guests are asked to conserve water including not running it for brushing teeth, washing dishes, or showering a long time or after peeing. Appreciated the posting reminder. With climate change, many areas of the world are experiencing weather problems. We enjoyed 2 days of unusual rain out of the 3 days we were there. If you enjoy exercise, the hilly walks of about 15 mins down to White Beach on one side and 12 mins walk to Great Harbour Bay will bring on a good appetite. Walk up to the house, add 10 to 15 mins. Coco Loco's on White Beach served a good pizza. Hagar sp?

Akil the manager/host is incredible! His personal touch and keen attention to our needs and every want was superb. From the moment we arrived and he handed us our Welcome Rum Punch (one of the best we tasted on our whole trip BTW), to coordinating sailing day trips, reservations, transportation to so many little thoughtful things such as a surprise Personalized Bon Voyage complimentary fruit plate at our final breakfast. He and ALL the staff there are so friendly and helpful. They took amazing care of us!

Set in Virgin Gorda, Bayview Vacation Apartments has a garden, a terrace and barbecue facilities. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. We were treated wonderfully even before check-in. The communication was clear and consistent. The directions to access our duplex villa were accurate and easy to understand. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was excellent. The cooking pots and pans were surprisingly of high quality which was important to us as we are enthusiastic cooks. The wifi was consistent and the satellite tv was great for the few infrequent times we watched it. The onsite laundromat was a Godsend. We had two balconies, a deck and a patio. The apartments are less than a 1/4 mile from the marina which was awesome because we were diving with Dive BVI. We wanted to explore the island a couple of days so the onsite manager was able to arrange a jeep rental that came to the house so it was very convenient.

In overall a great experience for the first time visiting the Tortola.
