We opted for the $30 ride offered by the hotel from the airport. This made our arrival to Egypt much less stressful, as we were met at the airport by a helpful and friendly driver who drove us to the hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned van. The view from our hotel room was amazing. We probably had one of the best possible views of the Sphinx and the Pyramids just from our window. Additionally, the hotel has relaxing chairs on its rooftop where we could sit at night and look at the illuminated Pyramids. In the morning, we were able to enjoy the hotel's breakfast and then walk across the street to visit the Pyramids before most of the other people arrived.

Le Riad is a wonderful boutique suite hotel in the Islamic District of Cairo. We really did not want to stay in a high-rise style hotel along the Nile and preferred a place with more character and color. Le Riad fit the bill. The suites are really spectacular. Huge and very well appointed. Sitting areas, balcony over the street and a lovely bathroom. Breakfast on the rooftop was glorious. The souk is a few blocks away and it seems that everything is happening on Muei Street. A lot of action. We had dinner at the restaurant on the roof which also was excellent (no alcohol). The neighborhood is interesting and fun. Lots of shops and restaurants and lots of people.

Excellent location, clean nice pool, very nice view. Personnel was nice and polite. Wifi connection could be better, but for occasional browsing it was ok. For breakfast I especially appreciate fresh juices, strawberry was amazing :). The rest of food selection was standard as in most hotels.

I loved this hotel but it's ruined me for other hotels in Egypt! I mean, it has everything -- nice staff, helpful at every turn without being intrusive. Nice rooms, with lovely beds/pillows and cleaned daily. Bathroom was big and shower was wonderful. We didn't order room service, but we did eat on site once and it was a nice experience, with prices I thought were reasonable, along with good options. The area around the hotel is also very nice to walk around. There is a park, the Nile, and plenty of shops and restaurants and book stores.

We were a bit cold because it was winter, but the owner of the hotel and its staff were very responsive and provided us with extra blankets and a portable heater. The service provided is excellent, we even got help finding taxis or making restaurant reservations when we could not do it ourselves. This is a guesthouse but with the comfort, interior design and quality of service of higher level hotels. We highly recommend.
