Situated at the base of The Pennines, the award-winning Whitehall Hotel is a striking Victorian Mansion set within 3 acres of scenic gardens and woodland.

The hotel’s contemporary restaurant and bar offers quality food and drink with a Mediterranean influence to all guests. The stylish dining area also comes with a feature fish tank, mood lighting, and an open kitchen.

I thoroughly recommend the distillery presentation in the evening. It just made the perfect end to our day. The presentation by Blake was very informative and making your own bottle of Gin was quite interesting and fun. Food was excellent and the rooms comfy on all fronts. Highly recommend.

The light and airy rooms and suites have a modern decor and useful facilities. Like the hotel, the Avenue Cafe Bar and Restaurant is modern in design and has an informal and relaxed atmosphere. Fresh produce from local suppliers is used to prepare food, which is available at very reasonable prices.

All the staff were very friendly, room was spacious with everything you need and I was especially happy that the heating was still on when so many other hotels already turned it off. :) There was also a great coffee shop nearby!

The grounds and facilities themselves were lovely and well kept. The thermal spa was stunning (albeit one of the steam rooms was out of commission). Was lovely to relax and watch nature!

The hotel is set in lovely grounds, quite high up, very quiet & feels like a getaway. The Spa area is very nice & the hydro pool is so relaxing especially with the huge windows, being able to see the trees almost bringing the outside in. We visited in January & can imagine the outside areas are gorgeous in the summer months.

Our rooms were lovely-spacious, clean and well designed. The breakfast was also great - wide choice of continental and cooked, suited to our party of vegetarians, pescatarians and meat-eaters alike. The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient.
