The one thing that surprised n shocked me was in fact the thought of providing a mobile phone n number for the visitor which was quite helpful. This was a great place to begin my stay in India and get acclimated. Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean spacious room with everything I needed, toiletries, free bottles of water, coffee kettle, quiet room, slept great, good AC, good restaurant in the building, great breakfast included with room, a buffet and the chef woukd also cook free breakfast to order. Excellent location right by the Gateway to India, where many tours start, near the part of town with the most sites to see, a few minutes walk to Colaba marke, the Oberoi hotel, and many restaurants. I had a really great stay for 3 nights.

We booked the Superior Luxury room, which had double-height windows, plenty of natural light, vintage furniture, original artwork, and gorgeous blue-and-white art deco tile flooring. Plus a freestanding bathtub and a walk-in rain shower. Breakfast is included and is served in the tastefully done up lobby that features an original 19th-century chandelier.
