What an amazing gem! The rooms were beautiful and a great size! Very comfortable, and felt very luxe with the plantation shutters. The view of the ocean from the room and listening to the birds was just bliss. The heated pool and hot tub was very nice, enjoyed that it was outside so you could hear the ocean and see the stars. We enjoyed the later check-out time. There were cute swing chairs and firepit's and beach access too. It was incredible value for money in a superb location.

The first 3 weeks were perfect , the hotel staff amazing. But somehow I misunderstood the checkout date and was late by an hour and a half checking out and things got ugly fast . I felt terrible as they had guests coming in as well. Someone on the staff team said some mean things and my checkout price was higher than I was quoted or had paid all the prior days … Much higher. I was to receive a 20% off for my stays as I am local and in between houses. They didn’t apply that to my Che out fees at all . I guess because I was late checking out .

The accommodations at Avila La Fonda were fabulous. Our suite was beautifully decorated and the complimentary wine and delicious homemade pie created an inviting and cozy atmosphere that made it difficult to leave. I wholeheartedly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and rejuvenating getaway. We only planned for one overnight stay in our 3 week road trip but in hindsight we'd plan to stay longer next time!
