Salpalinjan Hovi is set in a charming, renovated school building, 10 minutes’ drive from Lappeenranta city centre. It offers self-catering accommodation with classic décor, a kitchenette and private bathroom. WiFi and parking are free. Excellent location and awesome place to stay close to Lappeenranta. The "history room" is super, it's very spacious and it's fully furnished with everything. The host is very nice and helpful in explaining what to do in the nearby area and in Rutola village. Nearby there's a GP Grilli which is excellent. I highly recommend it if you're passing by!

Converted from an historic iron works, now with chic interiors and its own restaurant, this hotel offers free parking and breakfast is included. A swimming beach on Hummelfjärden is only 200 metres away. The breakfast was exceptional and the service was excellent. The shops and shopkeepers had excellent products and reasonable prices. I liked watching the boats and even a ice-breaker went by. The rooms were very clean and modern but not at the expense of atmosphere.

Situated on the historic Bulevardi avenue in trendy Punavuori, this boutique hotel is 600 metres from Kamppi Metro Station. Facilities include electric-car charging stations, free WiFi and a free 24-hour gym. It was a perfect hotel in a perfect location, Near the city centre, on a very typical nice to walk avenue. The room on the 6th floor was super clean, comfortable with an amazing bed. The bathroom was so spacious. It feeled like had very good soundproofing since we never heard anything from outside the room. It was like there was noone else on the floor. The stuff at the reception was very helpful. Another plus it was that we got our room an hour prior to check - in time for free. Not to forget: The coffee maker was really clean (we should ask how they did it, to do so in our coffee maker back home).
