Lovely view from our second-floor room over the golf course and the lake. Comfortable double bed and nice modern bathroom with strong hot shower. Great cooked breakfast, were not fazed by our request to change the eggs benedict bacon to salmon instead. Parking provided to the rear of the property. Staff were incredibly accommodating and allowed us to sit in their front room and use their Wifi 1400-1500 due to my partner needing to make an urgent work Teams call and the network in the Lake District can be quite spotty! Also very kindly allowed me to make a date change of the booking due to some car issues that prevented me from arriving for the original booked date, although within the non-refundable period on this website at the time.

The guidebook in the room was very helpful and provided information about things to do in the Lake District area, by foot or car. I took a 45 minute walk around the nearby farm and enjoyed quiet, scenic views. The unit we stayed in consisted of a large living room, full kitchen, bedroom, and bath with shower and tub. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, both meals were scrumptious. There was a great vibe at dinner and it was clear that this is not just a spot for guests, but also popular with the locals. Parking was available just across the street. We would definitely stay here again.

Located in the town of Ambleside, in the heart of the Lake District National Park, these rooms are situated above Stiles Coffee Bar, both featuring views of the surrounding fells. Everything- from the room to the bath to the breakfast, everything was amazing. We had a wonderful time during the easter holidays. Highly recommend staying in the Merlot King room.

Sue and Gary are very attentive hosts. They accommodated all of our needs. Gary gave us directions and maps to use for our hiking treks and detailed descriptions of what to anticipate on our journey. Sue provided us with anything we requested for our breakfast and our room. We laughed and had great fun sharing stories. They really made our stay in Keswick extra special. They have private secure parking and are located within walking distance of town. We highly recommend their B and B.
