Situated in the town of Pitlochry, Atholl Villa Guest House is a privately owned Victorian building, offering views of Ben Vrackie. It has free parking and retains many original features, such as open fireplaces and wooden sash windows. Very nice and clean rooms. It must be newly renovated. Loved the shower! The breakfast was served in a cosy room and the The full Scottish breakfast was yummie! Very sweet and friendly staff! It is very close to the town-center, like 2 minutes, and the town is so cute, we had unfortunately very little time to stay there but we went to the fish ladder which was interesting and it was a nice walk.

The individually designed rooms have tea and coffee facilities, an espresso coffee machine, a flat-screen TV and an iPod docking station. All rooms have fluffy bathrobes, small fridges and DVD players. Rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated. The owner and al ll her staff were amazing. Breakfast has won numerous awards and we can see why. Super friendly and rooms were fantastic.

Each room at Tigh na Leigh has been individually designed and have their own ensuite facilities. Just wow! The nicest BnB I've stayed in. From the minute we were welcomed at the door we felt like honoured guests. Graham showed us the beautiful rooms, all so large and airy and all individually decorated with Karen's eye for colour and style. Karen is also a talented cook. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and beautifully presented. The guest lounge is a lovely place to chat to fellow guests and the gardens are lovely. The couple grow some of their own fruit and veg. It was lovely to wander around. In the morning Graham had printed out a detailed map of a scenic route to our next destination. Great waterfalls...thanks Graham.

Huge bath towels. Breakfast was amazing!

Situated in the centre of the highland resort of Pitlochry, The Old Mill Inn is a 5-minute walk from Pitlochry rail station and many high street shops. Free parking is available on site.

Free Wi-Fi, an en suite shower room and a flat-screen TV are featured in each room at The Old Mill Inn. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided. Both the inn and associated restaurant were exceptionally comfortable, with notable excellence by staff. The plentiful staff were very friendly and enthusiastically helpful, and we observed the same attitude in the way the staff treated each other. My emails advising of our arrival time, requesting a dinner reservation and asking about parking received almost immediate response. The food was delicious, both dinner and the included breakfast. But the real take-away, beyond a very comfortable lodging and food experience was the exceptional service attitude beyond what we have encountered elsewhere (and the Scots’ friendly nature already sets a high bar for comparison). We attribute this to very good management at this property. The facilities also exceeded expectations: the room was very comfortable, light, fresh, thoughtfully designed and well stocked with amenities. We booked this accommodation for its convenience as we were driving between a day of golf at St. Andrews and our destination in Inverness and it is among the best we have stayed at on our trip in Scotland.

The edge of the stunning Trossachs National Park is just 20 miles from the hotel. Loch Lomond is around an hour’s drive away, and Dunfermline is a 40-minute drive from the building. We liked the hotel facilities, the room itself was gorgeously decorated, the bathroom super modern and clean. The dinner was one of the best we have had in a long while. Breakfast was great as well. A true gem.
