It is within 5 km of Trim and its historic castle. Staff was very friendly. We stayed in the cottage and It was sooo nice to have a place that was SO clean, spacious and beautiful! We stayed in Ireland 10 nights at 9 different places and this one was THE BEST!

The award winning accommodation boasts magnificent views of Trim Castle, The Yellow Steeple, and the River Boyne. The Highfield is an older building that is filled with charm. It is close to the castle and the Boyne River and walk. The hostess was great.

Individually designed bedrooms have deep baths, power showers and luxury toiletries. Rooms also feature handmade furniture, plasma TVs and free WiFi. We were given a room upgrade to avoid potential noise from a wedding party which was very thoughtful. Beautiful settings all very well maintained. Excellent breakfast.

When you stay at this traditional hotel, you will be welcomed by the best of Irish hospitality. Each of the rooms has been completely refurbished and the hotel has conference facilities for up to 500 people. The premises were wonderfully maintained and the setting had very good vibe overall. Everything you need (pub, breakfast) is on site. We got great customer service (a room upgrade - thanks Kealy!) and enjoyed our stay immensely (after a long flight and drive). This really is a great location to explore the Boyne Valley and all the wonderful history there. A hidden gem - super recommended!

Tayto Park can be reached in a 5-minute drive, and guests can exercise or relax at Clann Fitness and Leisure Club. Everytime we come here we always are blown away by the quality of service and rooms provided. Rooms are amazing and the food/bar service is top quality also.

Overlooking the River Boyne, the Killyon Guest House is located in Navan. With a free WiFi access, the property is less than 50 km from Dublin.

In the mornings, guests at the Killyon Guest House can enjoy an extensive range of award-winning breakfast, along with a selection of homemade breads and jams. Michael was absolutely charming. When we arrived in the afternoon he treated us to coffee and home made date bread. The place is gorgeous with many interesting antiques and pictures of the family to which Michael told us many interesting stories about himself, his family and his collection of antiques. Fascinating. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and tales of past events. He let us know about all the places to see in the area, how to get there and where to park. In the morning the breakfast was absolutely amazing. Full Irish breakfast, omelets, fish and many other choices I can't remember. There was yogurts, fruit, nuts and home made breads. I wish we could have stayed another night but our itinerary didn't allow it.

The Ashbourne House Hotel is located a 15-minute drive from Dublin Airport and the beach at Balbriggan. It offers individually designed rooms, free parking and an award-winning fine-dining restaurant.

We had only one night in the Dublin area because of a change in our flight schedule. We decided to spend 12 hours at the Ashbourne House Hotel and we were very glad we did. There was a short and cheap bus ride to and from the airport to Ashbourne, or you can use Uber for around 50 euros. The town of Ashbourne is quiet and clean and the hotel is very nice. The food in the restaurant and the service in the bar are both excellent. We recommend this hotel highly.
