Surrounded by beautiful gardens, Shamrock Lodge Hotel is a family-run hotel located in the very centre of Ireland, just 5 minutes’ walk from the restaurants, bars, and nightlife of Athlone town centre. Lovely lady at reception. Was a very warm welcoming person and a great choice for front of house. Facilities were great, easily organised things with reception. Good rooms with large mirrors and parking with in view of the room. In the town and yet it doesn't feel that way. Lovely area and would visit again.

It is very conveniently located in Athlone and has nice and clean rooms, lovely facilities, comfortable beds and appreciated the water bottles provided by housekeeping. I can live there for a lifetime.

Many of the bedrooms at this hotel have stunning views over the river and old town area. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi access and a modern bathroom. We had an amazing time. The room is very comfortable and the view is unbelievable.
