Very helpful staff, especially M Rajesh and Kamatchi in the restaurant, and Saranya Devi in Housekeeping. The restaurant has a wide choice of dishes, and the buffet is very good value if you would like to try a range of dishes. The location is fine - there's also a shopping mall and a good supermarket nearby, plus ATMs. I spent 14 nights there (my third long visit), and shall rebook when making my next visit to Madurai.

Sitting on the top of Pasumalai Hill, The Gateway Hotel Pasumalai Madurai stretches over 62 acres of peaceful landscaped gardens. It has an outdoor pool, tennis courts, and an Ayurvedic treatment center. It is the best hotel to stay in Madurai! Undoubtedly! Peaceful surroundings, very well maintained and nicely decorated rooms, great food in the restaurant. We stayed only for 1 night, but our stay was just perfect! Special thanks for all the staff, they were all so nice and helpful!
