Bolungarvík
Amid the mountains of the wild Westfjords region, Einarshúsid Guesthouse is in Bolungarvík, a small fishing village. The building is from the turn of the 20th Century with traditional décor, and free WiFi. Very cozy little guesthouse in a cute fishing town only 15-20 min from Isafjordur. The West Fjords were our favorite stop on our Iceland trip. The owner is very friendly and helpful. He told us all about the history of the building and gave us tips about sites to see nearby. He swapped our room to a double bed rather than two twins. Guesthouse is very clean and comfy. Breakfast was AMAZING (fresh cooked eggs, bacon, beans, toast, fruit, juice) and prepared just for us. Highly recommend you stay here. Host is VERY welcoming and accommodating.

The food, the location, the environment and the great care with which the amenities of the hotel were designed.
Consistently thought through design of the apartment with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The living area is so inviting that we chose the have dinner there instead of eating out. All in all the owners aim high and reach it. (Nice collection of music on vinyl)
Beautiful remote place surrounded by an impressive landscape. It was really pleasant to spend time in there brand new and cleverly designed spaces. The staff was very welcoming, kind and caring. They do homemade diner.
We were happy to stay for a few day's in such a wonderfull lodge. Well equipped, tastfull designed and having 'a million view' on the landscape.
We really liked the size of the apartment and its modern design - the bathroom was great! It was all very shiny and clean with a view of the harbour and a terrace with a view of Kirkufell. It had a small kitchen and wifi if you wanted (we had our own).
well-located, nicely renovated with stylish modern fittings and design, clean, value for money.
Probably the coziest hotel we have ever visited. As soon as we entered all our senses were positively affected(e.g very nice design, the smell of home made bread being baked for breakfast, nice soft music etc). Very comfortable bed and all details in the room were carefully thought with great taste. The stuff was extremely polite and helpful. The best breakfast we had in Iceland.
Despite the friendly reception lady and the stunning view from the front of the building, the main problem is the design of the place. Many rooms lead straight off a (dark but well-equipped) communal kitchen area, and so noise travels easily. The description of the place is ambiguous and doesn't really paint an accurate picture that staying here does, in many ways, feel like an expensive youth hostel. Definitely overpriced compared to everywhere else we stayed during two weeks in Iceland.
The interior design, the comfort the view to the horses through the bedroom and kitchen window. The kitchen has everything you need. The host is always reachable, answering in a few minutes. We absolutely enjoyed staying there and left with a tear un the eye, because it was so good! 😊
