Best hotel I’ve stayed in Morocco. the staff is super easy-going and helpful, the breakfast was delicious always, the room was quiet and had a great view of the city. The terrasse is also very very nice. finally, the location was superb!!! we were right next to the entrance to the “blue part” of the city and next to the oficial parking.

I stayed in many places around the world but I must say that Dar Elrio made it into my Top 5 favorite hotels. The place has a unique brazilian vibe combined with the calmness that Chefchouen offers. The personnel, even though they are not fluent in English or French they are so eager to help that they sometimes used Google translate to try to understand what we needed. I believe that the fact that we were supposed to spend one night here and we ended up extending our stay with another one speaks for itself of how much we enjoyed our stay. The communication with the hotel before our arrival, when we had an inconvenience by not being able to arrive for the first night, was stunning. They changed our reservation without any problem. The tiny room that we stayed in was a dream. It looks good in the pictures too, but trust me: is something that you haven’t seen before. It gave me the vibe of a tiny house combined with the cabin lodge feeling and the fact that we were able to see the mountain where the Spanish Mosque is located straight from our bed was a priceless view both by day and night. The terrace is also spectacular and the views are breathtaking. The breakfast? OMG delicious! Also since our arrival we were offered tea and orange juice during our whole stay, and guess what? We didn’t had to pay for them. Also at breakfast when we asked for more juice or other goodies, they happily served us. We also met the owner in the last night. He is a very professional and passionate about his business. He even offered us a complimentary ride to the bus station at our departure. Chefchouen was my favorite place in Morocco and without any doubt I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting and I’d for sure go back and stay here. Now it makes sense why Elrio had so many positive reviews.
