Hotel Rural Monte da Provença is a small 4-star charm hotel located within 7.5 km from the centre of Elvas. The unit is inserted in tranquil surrounding and features an outdoor pool, garden, wine cellar and a bar. The property was in a beautiful situation located amongst a very peaceful and stunning environment. Staff were kind, friendly and exceedingly welcoming. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was delicious. Of our trip down through Spain and Portugal this was by far the best accommodation we stayed at. I will be recommending it to all our friends and acquaintances.

This property is located in the country side on a 5-minute drive out of Évora, one of Portugal’s most historic cities and the famed Roman Temple.

The guesthouse consists a two-bedroom family suite, a double room, a single room, all with private bathroom with shower, and a communal lounge area with free tea-coffee services and a library. On the property are also two apartments features a living area, kitchen, one or two bedroom(s) and a bathroom with shower. Located in a quiet rural area (within a cork tree plantation) yet only a few minutes drive from Evora, one of the most attractive cities in Portugal. This is one of the few places we have found to stay where you can relax totally knowing that if you have any queries or requests the hosts Monique and Wim, who speak excellent English and are a mine of local information, will be at your service. The rooms are large and well equiped and the site has an excellent swimming pool, covered car parking and lovely gardens where you are free to roam at will. You need to like animals as you will soon be approached by three large, but very friendly dogs. We were lucky to have the excellent and entertaining company of fellow guests from Portugal and New Zealand.

Surrounded by vineyards, the scenic A Serenada Enoturismo includes a wine cellar, where guests can taste Serra de Grândola wines. It features an outdoor pool and has sweeping views over the natural surroundings and the sea. The staff were so helpful and made us feel so welcome. The room had the most amazing view. Breakfast was lovely and dinner on both nights was simply wonderful.
