Gajapuri, which means "Elephant's Empire" in Sanskrit, offers a luxurious tropical experience with its spa and outdoor spa bath. Its spacious air-conditioned wooden cottages have free internet and flat-screen TVs. The property has an outdoor pool with a wooden sun deck, as well as a path to the beachfront. Everything was just perfect. It feels like a little jungle paradise, but has restaurants, shops and every service you might need right outside. The beach is beautiful (although only really suitable for swimming at high tide), pool is great, breakfast is delicious and has something different every day. All the staff are really helpful and friendly, but Sand really went the extra mile and made us feel so welcome and well taken care of. She never tired of making friends with my incredibly shy 1 year old, and came running with insect repellant before I even realized the flies were having a feast on me that one morning I came to breakfast unusually early.

The breakfast is available at any time from 7am - 4pm, and made to order. It was exceptional. The restaurant is next to the beach. You can even eat on the beach if you prefer. The rooms were excellent. The pool was large and is an infinity type with seamless views out to sea. There are 2 other pools directly accessible from the ground floor rooms. The loungers were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the fabulous staff. We were lucky enough to be there when they did a fabulous 'Valentine's night dinner.

Guests can enjoy the natural surroundings or relax with massage treatments. During the stay guests have access to free WiFi. We were at Chaipura for the second time. It's a very special place and we really love it. It's a good choice if you... - want to visit koh chang but don't like the party atmosphere that dominates a lot of the island. Klong kloi beach is so nice and relaxed, and chaipura is a bit removed from it on private property. - don't need lots of shops and activity around you, but want to be near a taxi stop so that you can visit other parts of the island. I can't recommend renting a moped on coaching unless you are very experienced, the roads are extremely treacherous. - want to be close to the beach, but prefer some space and privacy, and a quiet, restful atmosphere. The beautiful bungalows are well spaced, breakfast on the back terrace overlooks the lagoon and is a peaceful affair. It's not a good choice if.. - you are a big group or a family with loud children who need a lot of input. Again, it's a chill, peaceful place, in particular perfect for couples who want something that's rustic and affordable but a step up from the options around. - you need to be directly on the beach for some reason. Chaipura looks out over a small lagoon. - you need staff to be available 24/7 or any sort of all-inclusive program with lots of amenities and activities and support. The staff mainly leaves you alone. At the same time, when you need help you will get it and the housekeeping team does a fantastic job! - you are afraid of nature. The bungalows are not well-sealed, there are geckos everywhere and you very well might run into some monkeys. :)

Bright and airy, air-conditioned rooms at The Stage Koh Chang are fitted with tiled floors. They come with a flat-screen TV, safe and a minibar. I read some mixed reviews on this place but I thought it was fantastic. My review is based on Me (40) and my 2 kids, 13 & 20. We stayed in one of the rooms with 2 bunk beds. We thought this was great compared to a family room the bunks were big and spacious and the room we were in was so big had a TV and a fridge and a separate shower to toilet room with a double sink. We had two beautiful pools outside our door and there are two more deeper pools to use as well. The staff were so nice and friendly! I see people going on about the breakfast well we were happy with it, this place cost me €35 for the night for 3 people, I don't know what people expect, but they had a little room next to reception and inside was two bags with our room number on them inside was hard boiled eggs bananas apples oranges and we got a sandwich which was so fresh and delicious, we took our bags with us down to the beach and had a picnic and the day we checked out we basically had a packed lunch to head off with. The little village Kia Bea is very nice as well lovely little places to eat and nice to walk around and there is a short stroll to be beach which is stunning!!

The facilities and the location were amazing. Right on the beach with one of the most amazing palce to watch the sunset. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The Du Talay is a small family run hotel with 21 cosy rooms under Thai/German management. 4 years ago it was fully renovated.

The rooms are very well equiped. You find a safe, a big wardrobe, a desk, a fridge, a big mirror and a comfy double or twin – beds. You have the possibility to cook tea or coffee. Drinking water is provided every day. We rented the room with the jaccuzi and it was phenomenal! Spacious living room large bathroom with sea view, comfy bed, Netflix on TV. Large private terrace. The breakfast was okay, maybe a little bit bland after a while. The staff was nice, the aircon worked great. Good location to reach both sides of the island. We also rented the scooter (125cc) from them and it worked great. The beach in front of the hotel is not usable 24/7, at high tide it's simply underwater. The area around the hotel offers many restaurants, the small night market next to it is also nice.
