The location, friendly staff, and atmosphere. Great location with town centre eateries and bar starting at the doorstep. Still offering a feeling of seclusion in the garden. Lovely chats with staff members.

The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Aarhus this weekend is £146 or, for a 4-star hotel, £229. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Aarhus for this weekend cost on average around £354 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
The City of Smiles, Århus (or Aarhus as it’s now officially known) has been around longer than any other Scandinavian city, so has had plenty of time to accumulate attractions and eateries. Its vibrant music scene and nightlife are popular with Denmark’s largest student population, and the University Park features the excellent Steno Museum and Natural History Museum.
Weird and wonderful artworks adorn the multi-coloured ARoS museum, and artefacts in the Viking Museum are on the site where they were discovered, alongside copies of exhibits from the Moesgård Museum, located in a forest south of the city centre (closed until 2014). At the heart of the neighbouring park is Marselisborg Palace, the Danish monarch’s summer residence.
The botanical gardens are opposite the Old Town, which is not actually the historic centre but rather a colourful collection of half-timbered buildings from all over Denmark, set around a pond.
Shops and pavement cafes line the Aarhus River which enters the sea by the large port which has contributed significantly to the city’s success. Overlooking it are the ultra-modern Isbjerget apartments, resembling peaks of icebergs. Also innovatively designed is the Modernist town hall, and Aarhus Cathedral has the country’s tallest spire and longest nave.
Booking.com’s accommodation options range from beachfront hotels to cheap hostels and apartments near Aarhus Airport.
My first time in Denmark and it was beautiful. A lot of new building projects. A lot of shops and restaurants. A lot of museums. Den Gamble By definitely worth visiting, because there are a lot of museums and you feel like a lot of years ago. Botanical garden is for free, a lot of beautiful plants.

Not as much to do in Aarhus proper, but if you had the means to travel outside there was more to see. Not as visitor friendly as other Danish cities we visited. One full day was enough for the city proper to meander around. Be careful of where you eat, because some of the smorrebord menus were simply fried fish (from their fish and chips menu) on a large piece of bread or soggy chicken salad. Not the Danish versions you might be looking for.

Confusing town plan. Lost my sense of direction frequently.
Confusing town plan. Lost my sense of direction frequently.
Great range reasonable eating places. Friendly service. Flexible menus.
The art gallery was a bit strange. Not much of a B collection for an experienced art lover in other European cities. The shop there was well stocked and presented

Best nature around this city. Very underrated.
Best nature around this city. Very underrated. Totally worth to come check for its city centre, the restaurants, the cafes, the new building with interesting designs, and of course, the forests and the parks
- The location is good. It's located in the center of the city, so you can travel easily to everywhere.
- The bus stop to Moesgaard Museum is only 1 block next to the hotel, it will take only around 30 mins to go there.
- The room is new in a good condition.
- The gym is better than I expect. You can do cardio, weight training or even cable work.
- All of the staffs are very friendly and helpful.
Wakeup Aarhus was affordable, and right in the middle of the city, which suited our purposes to go see Aros and get a feel for the town. Once we parked the car, we walked everywhere, and saw as much as we could fit in in two days. and good food and drinks. The hotel was a good place to stay, if you are not going to stay there much, but only use it aa a base for striking out for adventure.
The value is excellent and the kitchenette is quite modern. Big wide tilt & turn window. There were thoughtful touches like the travel size toiletries. Plenty of storage and shelves. Comfortable bed. The neighborhood is pretty and quiet but has close-by amenities (and if you are a light/early sleeper, mind that central Aarhus accommodations can be very loud).
Location, next to the city center and to the train station was perfect. The environment was also great. The room was very clean, with a small kitchen with everything needed. There was no noise. Check-in and check-out was very easy. Personnel was very kind. I would certainly recommend this aparthotel and will probably book it again if I visit Aarhus again.
this hotel used to be a fantastic place to stay - perfect location on the seaside - but after Corona the standard has gone down. Rooms- and outdoor cleanliness not ok. Breakfast absolutely delicios. Seaview absolutely fantastic. Hope the standard will improve - this is always my favourite hotel in Aarhus. Best rooms are first floor in middle section.
This is not a fancy hotel, but it’s somehow just right for the price. It’s cozy, clean, and the staff is friendly. Bed was too soft for me. The location is excellent, close to everything. Breakfast is good. The roof was actually leaking causing drips in the breakfast room, but I’m assuming they will fix that soon.
The apartment is really nice, thoughtfully furnished and decorated, cozy and spatious for our group of 6. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and very comfortable beds. Kitchen is fully equipped and the large table is perfect to have a nice meal. Located perfectly to explore Aarhus.
The hotel is at heart of Aarhus. I loved the location. The room was super spacious and very large. The breakfast was rich and healthy. The hotel was full of paintings. The restaurant was very nice with natural light streaming from roof.
The hotel is located right in the center of Aarhus.
Breakfast is exceptional, good quality ingredients, large variety.
Modern look, spacious room.
The view from room 514 is really cool, you can see the rainbow promenade.
The hotel is very nice, it is a boutique hotel. A very special place. The location is great and they have a parking place.
The room was tiny but comfortable for a couple. It is a nice place for minimalistic people.
A few mins walk away from Street Food + Bus central and Aarhus Central. Very city centered. Breakfast was excellent. The room has AC. Clean bathroom and facilities. Friendliest staffs.
