    This place was HUGE disappointment.

This place was HUGE disappointment. Environment in general was untidy, especially entrances of the buildings, poolside, etc. Poor quality service and lame breakfast made us rapidly leave the premises.

    Anaklia has great potential.

Anaklia has great potential. The beach front and the waterpark are amazing. The only problem we had, was that there are no supermarkets in Anaklia, only tiny little shops that don't even have all the basic things we needed. We had to drive to Zugdidi to shop for a few essentials. When we visit again, we will make sure to bring everything along for a comfortable stay.

Anaklia is a small village on the Black Sea coast.

Anaklia is a small village on the Black Sea coast. Humid and warm. We went for the Echo waves festival ( brilliant!) and stayed at Praytap Signature - real nice hotel - pricey though. There are a few small family own restaurants in Anaklia village - nice and friendly - Georgian food only - tasty and very cheap compared to western European countries. Anaklia beach is nice - water can be dangerous though so be careful with kids Best way to travel is taxi from Batumi airport - 90 GEL

I believe Anaklia is underestimated as a beach resort.

I believe Anaklia is underestimated as a beach resort. It is perfect place to rest for few days after trekking in Svaneti. Big clean beach, some modern sightseeing places like glass bridge and "tower", waterpark just for 15 lari. There are few modern big hotels and plenty of guesthouses. But infrastructure is still far away from perfect, tried few restaurants - didn't like any( There is also no big market, but it is very easy to get to Zugdidi - bus for 2 lari is going every hour (modern bus with AC costs 1 lari but goes only 4 times a day). Last bus to Zugdidi goes at 8pm, around 40-60 minutes on the way and arrives to Zugdidi 1 hour before night train to Tbilisi - just perfect!
